A wonderful getaway spot!Posted Nov 9, 2013
Location: Rent a car and explore! The convenience store a mile or two away is great. Just pull off the road and get beautiful, turquoise views! Chat'nChill.
Gorgeous location. Gorgeous, spotless grounds and amenities. Villas are outstanding. Ask for an unobstructed ocean view. Beds are welcoming and comfy. Kitchen was top-knotch. We had everything we could have wanted. Fun golf cart to get to the liquor store quickly. Fitness center was great. The Grill has yummy food. The staff truly make Grand Isle what it is. Eduardo at the Grill is a TRUE GEM! Crystal, Shavar, Shan and all the rest, we so appreciated you!! Everyone here has a smile on their face and are more than happy to do whatever is necessary to put one on yours.

Awesome resort on the beach!Posted Jun 26, 2013
Pros: The rooms were gorgeous and the beach was beautiful.
Cons: The grocery store nearby sells expired foods. Check dates carefully before purchasing.
Location: We took the all day cruise to the out islands to snorkel Thunderball Grotto which was amazing. The swimming pigs were fun to see.
We stayed at Grand Isle Resort for 7 wonderful nights. This resort has all the bells and whistles. It's spotlessly clean. The staff is fast and friendly. Emerson was a great help. He let us borrow his personal phone charger to charge our camera as we forgot the charger at home. He got guests involved in beach volleyball. I cannot say enough great things about this resort. We travel to the Caribbean every Summer and this by far has been our best experience yet. We will absolutely return to Grand Isle.

Great hotel for couplesPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: The room, the pool, the beach, the friendly and professional staff.
Location: The hotel has easy access directly onto the beach. The hotel itself is a little remote, if you want to explore the island you will need a rental/cab.
My wife and I loved staying at Grand Isle Resort and Spa. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place, this is it. The 1 bedroom apartment was extremely spacious. The pool is nice. Easy access to a beautiful beach that doesn't get crowded at all. We perhaps would have like a little more variety with the lunch menu, but it was OK.

Highly relaxingPosted May 20, 2013
Pros: New, clean and easy to get to and from room to pool and the restaurant.
Cons: The food, which was good, was not what we would call memorable meals.
Location: Great location. Thunderball 007 tour is worth the money, lifetime memories made on this trip. Eat at Santana's, you will not be dissappointed.
This must be the best place to stay on the island. The villas are spacious and clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the drinks were generously poured. We met some great, fun people from Canada, England, Germany and the US. We traveled most of the island and did not see anything from outside appearance that looked as nice as Grand Isle. It is almost a central location on island so going north or south was not that long of a trip. As Exuma is not heavily populated, getting around is on the expensive side, whether in rentals or taxis, but you will not find yourself in anything close to a traffic jam. Santana's in Little Exuma is a must eat, the best and most reasonably priced food on the island, probably in the whole Bahamas ! Simply, delicous !!!! The only negatives, and they are minor, a pretty hard bed, the beach at times was weedy and the bug bites at night. Still, a very relaxing 9 days. And the Thunderball 007 tour boat, with Captain Ray and his son Justin, the best one we have ever taken.

The great quite resort!Posted May 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We choose this place and kept our expectations low. But it was great staying!!!! The pictures don't judge the place at all! It looks much much better in real! This resort is next to Sandals, the same beach area! You don't need to over pay for Sandals, because staying in Grand Isle you will get the same clean beautiful beach!!!! The food is also great in the resort, there is the only one restaurant, but pretty good . Hotel's location is very convenient, not far away from the airport ($30 taxi ride) but if you want to drive to Georgetown you are better to rent a car, or taxi ride will cost you $50 one way. Staff in the hotel is friendly and very helpfulI. I will def come back to the Grand Isle Resort!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed longer. The accommodations were luxurious and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The food at the restaurant was always delicious and the fish served always fresh. We loved kayaking, snorkeling and spending time in the pool. I definitely would go back to this resort and would certainly recommend the Grand Isle to my friends and family.
