Cons: All dining service.
Overall this hotel was very nice. The overall dining experience was poor. There were very long waits for a host to appear to seat the parties, even if you had a reservation and tables were clearly open. Dining service and food delivery were extremely slow. Food was just ok, nothing spectacular. Dining at local places on the island were much more enjoyable.

Amazing Resort

Everything was absolutely superb but I wish it were an adults only resort. Kids were really loud in and by the pool.

Cons: BBQ dinner on Thursday night was poor compared to the days before.
One of the best resorts we stayed in our trip to the Bahamas.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Restaurant menu could have some more healthy options available (like grilled seafood), but besides this, great food!
Great sense of hospitality, staff very accomodating and always smiling.

Great Getaway

Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Spacious rooms, great pool area, free use of snorkel and water sports equipment, easy access to beach area
Cons: Numerous plastic bags on the beach and in the water need to be cleaned up. Also, the water at the resort smelled funny (out of the shower and sinks).
Location: Resort isn't within walking distance of any activities but it's easy to arrange for transportation to local excursions and bars.
Traveled on my own to this resort for a quiet getaway. The hotel staff was great in arranging for airport transportation, grocery delivery, and boat excursion to several nearby islands (which was excellent by the way). Villa was very nice, with full kitchen, living room, washer & dryer. I regret not upgrading to an ocean view, so if you have the option to do it I highly recommend it to get the full experience.

We just returned from Grand Isle and loved it!

Posted Mar 13, 2015
Pros: Room amenities, service, and location.
Cons: Clean up the beach a bit.
Location: Go to Santanas in Little Exuma for a great meal and a really cool beach bar! Also hit the Tropic of Cancer beach as it is truly outstanding!
My wife and i just returned from Grand Isle and we loved every second of it! The rooms are truly outstanding and the property is very nicely kept. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. Two very minor detractions include the resturant/bar pricing....we ordered a vodka and tonic when we arrived and the menu reflected a price of $8.50 but we were charged $17.50 because the added good vodka instead of the house stuff. The food is good but more expensive than the resturants off site. The other very minor issue was trash on the beach. Grand Isle shares the beach with Sandals and does rake the area of the beach right in front of Grand Isle but if you walk just a few feet past the rake area we saw lots of plastic trash and quite a bit was floating in the water. I would highly recommend renting a car and going to the grocery store in Georgetown and the liquer store is only a short walk from the resort. Liquer is very resonably priced at the store and a much better value than at the resort. Great Exuma and Little Exuma have so many outstanding beaches but you need a cra to reach them aside from the resort beach. All in all, a great place to visit and stay!

Beach hotel close to the GGT airport

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Well equiped villas with good kitchen amenities.
Cons: Get rid of sand flies. Speed of service in the restaurant could definitely be improved, ridicilously long waiting time for lunch.
Location: Good location by a nice bay. Not much to do around than using hotel gears. No eating alternatives close. Do the ocean safari and swim with the pigs.
Lovely days in this very nice hotel. A lot of itching though thanks to sand flies.

An undiscovered getaway paradise

Posted Jan 6, 2015 on Hotels.com
This place is a wonderful getaway if you're looking for seclusion and quiet. No loud music, no crowds, a small venue with luxury accommodations. There's not any shopping or night life to speak of, unless you count the beautiful bar and pool overlooking the beach. The villas aren't hotel rooms or even suites, they're luxury villas. This is not really a place for teenagers - not enough excitement, but for a lovers getaway or for small children, it's wonderful!
