Great GetawayPosted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Spacious rooms, great pool area, free use of snorkel and water sports equipment, easy access to beach area
Cons: Numerous plastic bags on the beach and in the water need to be cleaned up. Also, the water at the resort smelled funny (out of the shower and sinks).
Location: Resort isn't within walking distance of any activities but it's easy to arrange for transportation to local excursions and bars.
Traveled on my own to this resort for a quiet getaway. The hotel staff was great in arranging for airport transportation, grocery delivery, and boat excursion to several nearby islands (which was excellent by the way). Villa was very nice, with full kitchen, living room, washer & dryer. I regret not upgrading to an ocean view, so if you have the option to do it I highly recommend it to get the full experience.

We just returned from Grand Isle and loved it!Posted Mar 13, 2015
Pros: Room amenities, service, and location.
Cons: Clean up the beach a bit.
Location: Go to Santanas in Little Exuma for a great meal and a really cool beach bar! Also hit the Tropic of Cancer beach as it is truly outstanding!
My wife and i just returned from Grand Isle and we loved every second of it! The rooms are truly outstanding and the property is very nicely kept. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. Two very minor detractions include the resturant/bar pricing....we ordered a vodka and tonic when we arrived and the menu reflected a price of $8.50 but we were charged $17.50 because the added good vodka instead of the house stuff. The food is good but more expensive than the resturants off site. The other very minor issue was trash on the beach. Grand Isle shares the beach with Sandals and does rake the area of the beach right in front of Grand Isle but if you walk just a few feet past the rake area we saw lots of plastic trash and quite a bit was floating in the water. I would highly recommend renting a car and going to the grocery store in Georgetown and the liquer store is only a short walk from the resort. Liquer is very resonably priced at the store and a much better value than at the resort. Great Exuma and Little Exuma have so many outstanding beaches but you need a cra to reach them aside from the resort beach. All in all, a great place to visit and stay!

Beach hotel close to the GGT airportPosted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Well equiped villas with good kitchen amenities.
Cons: Get rid of sand flies. Speed of service in the restaurant could definitely be improved, ridicilously long waiting time for lunch.
Location: Good location by a nice bay. Not much to do around than using hotel gears. No eating alternatives close. Do the ocean safari and swim with the pigs.
Lovely days in this very nice hotel. A lot of itching though thanks to sand flies.

Great beach, clean and well decorated rooms. The staff is friendly, the only thing that needs improvement is the menu and the speed of service at the restaurant and bar. Overall a positive experience.

very nice villas，the best villa Ive ever lived inPosted Dec 25, 2014
very nice villa，best villa Ive ever lived in. nice staff and nice golf cart， beautiful beach，snorkel and kayak are all available and free inside the hotel，actually I believe they are under the same company with Sandals，which is another big hotel in north Exzuma，but Sandals is more like a hotel for 2 persons，the grand isle is better for family because most of the villas have 2 or more bedroom with kitchen

Great beachfront accommodations.Posted Dec 18, 2014
Beautiful condos! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great beach. Nice restaurant. Never a wait for anything. All excellently maintained. Gregg Norman designed golf course right next door. Fabulous location for a very quiet get away. If you are looking night life, Great Exuma is not the place for you.

great villas, no food and bad ANT problem:0(Posted Dec 16, 2014
all was above and beyond our expectations, but when it came to mealtime and food accommodations, it was tough-- if you miss the restaurant hours, you were pretty much out of luck until they reopened... we had a fabulous kitchen, and empty fridge; suggest at least providing a "cash bar" type of fridge, where you pay for what you drink/eat (ESPECIALLY BOTTLED WATER)! finally, don't leave ANYTHING food wise out ANYWHERE-- serious pest problem with their version of ants... they would find a crumb and come in drones!!!! even still, overall, it is a GORGEOUS resort and amazing villas-- still kind of green with their accommodations but not bad at all! ps: golf carts were a great perk (came with a mini garage and all)!
