We only booked a city side deluxe room, as we weren’t expecting to be in it much and ended up in Room 651, which was a great spacious room. It was situated on a corner towards the back of the hotel so it was quiet and had a partial view of the harbour.
There was a sliding frosted glass divider between the bedroom and the bathroom which I can understand why some people think this isn’t very private but it didn’t bother us. It was nice to open it up while in the bath so we could watch TV! The room was spotlessly clean; the bathroom was lovely and had a huge bath, separate shower and loads of toiletries.
The best tip I can give is to join the Intercontinental Hotel Group rewards scheme, which is free and only takes a few moments to sign up to. We gave our membership number at check in and this entitled us to free Wi-Fi (instead of £14 a day each) and also gave up automatic late check out at 2pm, well worth it.
The pool and gym were great, loads of towels, water stations, iced lemon water and various complimentary toiletries in the changing rooms.
The hotel is walking distance to all the tourist sites, is smart and spotless clean and a fantastic place to stay in Boston. All the staff we met were so lovely and polite and we feel really fortunate to have booked here.

Don't even consider the Hampton inn down the street. Holiday inn is less expensive and recently renovated with fridge/microwave in the rooms and much cleaner/newer feel. Best stay for your dollar in Cambridge.
