“Campanile Hotel, Delft:- Good Value for money”
My wife and I stayed at the Campanile Hotel on the outskirts of Delft for 5 nights in early August. The hotel is located adjacent to junction 8 on the A13 motorway has excellent access to the road network. The Dutch motorists on the motorways are extremely aggressive and impatient so we left the car in the car park most of the time. Nearby, there is an excellent bus service to the City Centre of Delft, which runs every 15 minutes, where you can visit the shops, historic sights and also travel by tram or train to places like the Hague, Leiden and Haarlem. The hotel itself has no frills, but is clean and well maintained. Initially we had a room on the south facing elevation, which was very hot, so we were moved to another room on the north facing elevation. The room was much cooler and well equiped with twin beds, en suite facilities including a colour television. We were woken up by the sound of a cockeral each morning! Tasty Continental and English Breakfasts are available, but these are not included in the price. We ate these breakfasts every day, which represented good value for money. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.
