Good family hotelPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff and good for families.
Cons: Decor in some areas and there is the space to have even more childrens' facitilies.
Location: You need to take the bus to Leiden Central as there is nothing immediately adjacent to the hotel. There is a McDonalds about a ten minute walk away.
Lovely hotel with great facilities for children including swimming pool, bouncy castle, soft play and table tennis etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very appetising with plenty of choice and kids eat free at all buffet meals when dining with adults who are staying at the hotel. The free shuttle to Leiden Central was not running unfortunately due to the holiday period. If I was staying in Leiden again I would definitely return to the Holiday Inn and would certainly recommend it to others. The other bonus was the offer of 5 Euros to spend in the bar on a daily basis if you chose not to have your room cleaned. You still get fresh towels, mugs, tea and coffee etc so this was a bonus.

Check your minibarPosted Jul 16, 2014
We were charged for items from the minibar that we did not consume. Check your inventory. Otherwise, this was a good experience.

Family Getaway HotelPosted Jul 12, 2014
We were a family of. 6: grandparents, parents, two grandchildren ages 10 & 12, finishing a 2 week drive around northern Europe. Kids had a great time playing table tennis, using the pool & expending energy in a constructive way. Having dinner there and watching World Cup games completed a delightful European Tour. Kids ate free which was also nice.

Good value.Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pool and gym v nice. Buffet ok but a bit expensive. Went out every morning for breakfast. Good base to explore Delft, Kinderdijk, Gouda and Amsterdam. We used the park & ride to Amsterdam for the €8 parking but take care to follow instructions carefully to get discount!

Inconvenience locationPosted May 21, 2014
Pros: room is clean and friendly staff.
Cons: shutter bus service should provide every 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes
Quite a distance from the city center and train station. This hotel is better for who travel with car.
