2 Stars for a Reason!Posted Oct 21, 2013
We knew it was a 2 star motel when we booked it but thought we'd take the chance anyway. When we got there no one was at the front desk to check us in, we had to call the number posted on the front door. When she did check us in she wasn't real sure what room we were going to be in. The office was an absolute disaster, very disorganized and had a funny smell. We checked in about 4:30 PM that same night at 10:30 PM she called us to see if we were still coming and planned on checking in before midnight. I was very irritated because this same person already checked us in but apparently didn't have a record of it. The room was very small, we did get the 2 beds but it wasn't a 2 queen bed room like we paid for it was a full and a twin. The bathroom appeared dirty and grimy. The walls were paper thin and the door into the room leaked cold air really bad. The bed was lumpy and we both sank toward the middle. The room had a funny odor that seemed like cleaning supplies but we couldn't really place it. All in all it was an uncomfortable stay and the staff isn't capable of running a motel and the upkeep.

Paint Brush in is a great value.Posted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Location, friendliness, cleanliness and comfort
Location: Thermopolis is packed with things to do from the dinosaur museum to the hot springs to the petroglyphs to being able to go on your own dinosaur dig.
Our experience during our stay was awesome. The owner was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was just great. I guess you could pay a lot more and stay at one of the chain hotels in town, but sometimes we get tired of getting ripped off. This was the best value place we stayed our entire trip

OverpricedPosted Aug 27, 2013
Cons: REPLACE CARPETS AND BUY NEW SHEETS AND PILLOWCASES. NEW TOWELS.
Location: Hot Springs were nice.
It s a very old Motel. The rugs were dirty, The sheets were old and yellowed. I think they could have spent more money on fixing it up and not on 2 Big screen TV's. I did watch the TV because I could not sleep in the bed. Sorry.

in town for a weddingPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
disgruntled, somewhat rude desk personal-secretive about charge card receipt - not allowed a copy. Multitude of signs detailing what could not be done in room-couldn't enjoy bench outside of room due to basket of soiled laundry. Very dated decor, but relatively clean

Room was smelly, and not clean to our satisfaction, at least the bath was clean, but had nowhere to put your toiletries. Was over priced for what you got. Will not stay there again and will not recommend to anyone.

Terrible!Posted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stopped there for the night on our way to Yellowstone and we did not expect it to be so terrible. The location is okay and the size of the room is fine, despite the extremely small bathroom, but the hotel is dirty. There was a blood stain on one of the comforters and the other one was torn. They try to be nice, but, umfortunately, the service needs to step up a bunch of notches.

Pros: Conveniently place right on our route.
Cons: Check room thmperatures before arrivals.
Location: If I had more time I would have checked out the hot spring bathing at the state park.
Called to tell tath we were running late - they left key out for us along with paperwork. Still came out to meet us when we arrived. The room temperature was set to 80 degrees, but cooled down within ten minutes also the room was large with a kitchenette which we did not need. The beds were hard so were not comfortable. In the morning sone one was smoking outside the southern window and the smell was pulled into the room by the AC. Daughter also staed that she smelled dog poop in the morning.

don't stay herePosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
GHETTO FABULAS! This place was horrible I would not recommend it. The rooms smelled very bad they were not clean. Not proffesional or friendly at all either. I reserved my room and had confirmation but when i arrived they did not have my room ready and the employee told me i would have to wait untill the owner came. Mind you I had been driving for 6 hrs having to wait 45 more min. When we finally got a room Our shower curtain had blood on it, when I asked if we can get a new one I was told by the lady that that was the maids job and since it was late when I returned to check there was no one in the office anymore and no one answered the phone. All of the perks that i liked online we're not included no wifi microwaves didnt work the fridge did. There was also all these little notes alllll over the room with commands about what to do like having you clean up after yourself leaving the windows cracked washing any dishes you use ect. The thrtmostate n ac were backwards one commands the other. They never came to take out trash or wash the sheets a lil girl did come to finally to give us a curtain the next day and we ourselves took to the trash n gave it to her. The only reaSon why I did not go anywhere else was because everything was full that's why I reserved my room ahead of time. The prices were not that cheap either for the service and room we were provided. DO NOT STAY HERE SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE.
