Thunder Bay, Travelodge

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: I liked the fact that they still offer smoking rooms
Cons: The bathrooms could use a good scrubbing, especially the floors and the tub surround.
The room was very small, the beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom was disgusting. The other guests were extremely loud. I will never stay at this hotel again. This hotel does not provide soap, lotion or mouth wash like other hotels and the shampoo and conditioner they provide is shared with all guests.

Not the worst

Posted Feb 15, 2015
The room was a pleasant surprise after checking in and trying to find a place to park. Not a great welcome at the front desk and it was a circus trying to find a plug in that worked for the car. Temp was going down to -30 and I really wanted my car to start in the morning. Breakfast was very bare minimum.

Business trip

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: Wifi was very good, rooms were comfortable and the room that I was in had updated furniture.
Cons: Cleaning could be better. In shower I THINK their was some mold but I could be mistaken. Black marks in grout. Room itself seemed clean.
Location: Good location. Tim's down the road and Boston Pizza across the street.
Arrived late and front door was locked so glad that safety was taken seriously here. Staff were friendly and check in was very easy. Staff gave good information on breakfast, etc.

This was misrepresented on yoursite.

Pros: LEAVING!!!!!!!!
Cons: The gross smells, cleaning, redo all bathrooms , improve staff, knock it down and rebuild.
Location: Casino is fun!
The hotel room was gross, sheets looked already slept on, bathroom grout was black, we could go on and on, but we will never use your site again, you send people into disgusting hotel rooms and they are stuck staying there as you already have the money.

Pool heater not working

Posted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: The staff and the continental breakfast
Cons: Fix the pool equipment and maybe update the decor of the rooms a bit
Location: Near the centre of Thunder Bay, short drive everywhere we wanted to go
Hotel is older seventies decor but clean, staff were excellent. Pool heater didn't work so we couldn't use the pool.

Return to Travelodge

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Have stayed here before. It's quiet and rooms/ beds comfortable.
Cons: Needs updating
Location: Boston Pizza near by. Hotel has coffee on 24/7.
This is getting to be a "tired" hotel. It was built in the '60's and the signs of wear and tear are everywhere. However, the rooms are well furnished. Comfortable beds, fridge, flat screen TV's, hot water with pressure. They even still have smoking rooms. Free breakfast. Rates are comparable. The hotel is well known as it was fully booked the two days I was there. Sushi served next door however I went to BP just a block away.

All in all it was a decent clean hotel, although, the walls are paper thin!!! I could hear EVERYTHING that was said in the hallways and adjoining rooms
