No sleep and no hot water for a shower

Pros: Location
Cons: Informed a lady at the front desk that there was no hot water for a shower this morning, and I am checking out - she says I will call maintenance?
Location: Shop
The people next door were roaming around all night, opening/Closing their door. Hardly slept all night. Got up in the morning and there was no hot water for a shower.

Too noisy, thin walls.

After the first night I decided to check out. I really didn't want stay another night listening to my neighbors talk while I'm trying to sleep. Some of us have to work the next day. It's not like they where yelling, just casual talking. Walls are just too thin.

Could have been a lot better

My family spent four nights at The Victoria Inn because we got a decent rate. The first two nights we ok but the third and fourth we very disappointing. We left the housekeeping note on the door that said we only wanted our towels and garbage changed. They changed our garbage and took our used towels but didn't give us any clean towels. We had to call the front desk twice to get towels brought to our room and it still took over an hour. That same night my husband and I were in bed and a leak developed over our bed hitting me in the head. We ended up sleeping in bed with our daughter for the rest of the night which ended up being a tight squeeze. The next morning I went down to the front desk to change rooms and the lady was very friendly. I overheard her taking to another guest on the phone about Jacuzzi suites so I asked for an upgrade and we did receive it. We were very happy with the new room until the next morning at 8am when the construction started in every single room across from ours. We were not told there was construction happening in that part of the building and if they had told us we would not have taken that room. When my husband went to check out-- and pay our over six hundred dollar bill, my husband told told the manager about our uncomfortable stay and the only thing he did was tell us he would email the general manager about compensation. So far we have not heard anything from them and we WILL NOT stay there again!

Comfortable rooms, Close to restaurants

Location: Near lots of food places.
The room was very comfortable. Had a great sleep. This hotel will be my first choice when returning to Thunder Bay.

Good hotel for kids

We stayed the weekend, first room had shower only. Being i was travelling with kids that wouldn't work. The clerk switched rooms no problem. You can hear the pool all day, the kids liked it. Our last night stay the room beside me threw a party till the morning and my car rental got scratched in the parking lot . Not really the hotels problem. I would stay there again , but probably won't because the vandalism

we have renovated 80% of the hotel guestrooms at this point. many of these do have a walk in shower with glass doors. we do however have many rooms with tubs still available for our guest comfort. I apologize for the damage to the rental, we do have security patrol and the lot is well lit. I am sorry this cause some distress on your trip.

Kid friendly hotel

We always stay here when in Thunder Bay. The restaurant is convenient, with a big selection. The pool and water slide are nice. Everything is reliably comfortable and reasonable.

Good deal on Expedia. Excellent hotel.

Pros: Room cleanliness and service.
Cons: room soundproof
Good deal on Expedia. Excellent hotel. Restaurant breakfast was lame but I'm a picky cook/eater.

Worst hotel I have stayed at in years

Cons: Burn it down
Paid for the hotel room via credit card and when I checked in they made me pay a extra 100 dollar damage deposit, paint was pealing off the walls by the windows, there were noisy people outside our window and in the hallways all night, the staff did nothing to control the excessive noise. To top it off there was no hot water in the morning to have a shower. The only comment the staff made about my concerns when I was checking out was, I will let maintenance know about the water. I would rather stay in a tent than this hotel, I will never stay there again and would advise anyone to stay as far away from This hotel as they can.

Hotel close to most things

Cons: Thermostats or anything that is broken
Thermostat was broke ; tried turning down and then off . Room started to get warmer and warmer . Unable to sleep ; tossed and rolled til 4am then husband got up and went to front desk and they said they had been having problems with this thermostat . Nite staff said to turn UP thermostat and this might help.Room cooled down slightly but by time we noticed any difference Alarm went off .Had approximately 2 hrs sleep ; went to front desk to check out and spoke to "Curtis" front desk manager and he said " we can,t do anything for you as you got a good deal from expedia" As far as I'm concerned a "good deal " does not warrant no sleep and a rude manager.
