Pros: Ability to transfer my daughter. Short diatance by chair on wheels to our room back door privacy, as she prefers also to her disability.quiet, clean.
Cons: A wheelchair on site at hotel, as we could not bring ours due to small car.
Location: Subway sandwichs a short walk K without need to cross busy highway in min mall
Ice machine worked on second floor , would have liked to have a breakfast menu ,

Too much loitering.

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Too many people hanging out at the front lobby. Rude and ignorant people. Not enough tables to sit at in the pool area. Too far of a walk to the hotel room. Had to plunge my own toilet. Too expensive for all these things we had to deal with. Big deal, there's a slide. It's not open until later in the afternnoon. You think the hotel would have staffed it during the day for MARCH BREAK. Won't stay there again. That slide isn't worth the headache from all these other problems. Too bad. It used to be a nice place to stay. It's turning into a dive.

Hello, I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. During this busy week we did have a lot of guests and some pretty excited children staying with us. we have renovated all public areas of the hotel and do extensive personal care training with our staff so I am surprised by your comments. I will however take them in to consideration for focus group training and coaching opportunities with my team. I hope you do stay with us again and that we are able to deliver a level of service more to your expectation. Raymond, General Manager

Be prepared to fight through the crowd. :(

We pull up to the front entrance and I don't even have my door open all the way and some native is trying to bum a cigarette. There is no where to walk. The lobby is full. The front entrance is full. Kids are running all over the parking lot. It is very intimidating. There no "NO Loitering" sign anywhere. The front lobby and entrance is just a big hang out for people with nothing to do. If Victoria Inn is going to have some special pick up for these people. Have it somewhere else. Not at the front lobby where your guest paying hundreds of dollars have to enter. Not good for business. :( I also had to plunge my own toilet. The guy doing it didn't know how to do it right. I did it only because they were going to move us at 11at night and I didn't want to. He left the room to do something else and I took over. And then they put us in 169 and you had to walk forever to get to your room. The waterslide is great for the kids but it's not open till the afternoon. However, the kids can still swim.

Pros: I think overall this hotel is decidedly average for me. No complaints and didn't really blow my hair back
Location: I find this part of the city is lacking in good non-chain eateries. There seem to be much more options in Port Arthur.
I was staying at the hotel for work. Hotel staff were all very nice and helpful; room & public spaces were recently upgraded, updated & renovated, but if you stay here you best be a fan of soft beds. Only had a very simple breakfast in the hotel restaurant, so I cannot comment much on that, but they were recently voted as having the best wings in Thunder Bay. The hotel has a waterslide, pool & hot tub. Which is great if you have kids. It also means if your room is anywhere near the pool you're going to hear kids in the halls.

Good place to stay on your way to the airport but not a good destination stay.

Thank you for the review. i hope we have the opportunity to host you again and maybe change your opinion of our property as a destination location. With a restaurant, indoor pool and water-slide, conference facility, along with great surrounding attractions perhaps we can help with a day activity or make some recommendations for attractions. Weekend of shopping and entertainment.

Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: good location, family friendly
Cons: Adult swim time maybe the last hour.
Location: Bowling and restaurants
staff was immediately accommodating on small requests such as plates and cutlery in our room, early check in and allowing our daughter swim in the pool for an additional 45 minutes after check out. This little things made the stay stress free.

Had my daughters bday party here. They don't cater to bdays party's anymore but we still had a good time with the room we had and the swimming.

Ok Stay

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Clean, good location
Cons: Fix the tick
Room was nice, clean, comfortable, feather free like we requested. Nice bathroom. The only bad thing was a very irritating piece of metal flapping in the duct work. Woke us up several times
