The hotel was nice and clean, the breakfast was more than generous in terms of options and quantity for all members of our family. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the rooms were clean, quiet and spacious

Nice hotel in the middle of the city.
Staff was friendly, room was larger than expected. I appreciated that the staircase was user friendly so no need to take the lift all the time. Location is great. On-site parking availability is limited.

Charming hotel in the centre of Erfurt.
Great location, close to train station and city centre. WiFi worked well, staff was professional. The spa is still being renovated, will be ready in August I was told. Room was functional and fulfilled expectations.

They renovated the whole hotel Very nicely! Their location couldn't be better. I stay with this Mercure every year.

The first time disappointed with Mercure Hotel, too expensive, no air conditioning, noisy street. We were not able to sleep at all. They should never offer street rooms with all day sun without air conditioner in summer time!

Located near the hospital. Had problems with the airport shuttle. Didn’t have a cell phone to use to call them but later found out there’s a place to call outside the airport where the hotel buses pick you up.

Mercure Hotel Erfurt was conveniently located. Our room was not comfortable because there was no air conditioning and the nights were very warm. There was also no safe in the room which I found unusual for a four-star hotel.

One of the best.
The Mercure Hotel, Erfurt is one of the best I’ve stayed in. The staff were extremely helpful, to the extent of posting a phone charger we left behind to our next destination as well as giving us directions, suggestions for restaurants and sights to see. The hotel was very quiet but very close to all the places we wanted to see. It’s also an easy 10 to 15 minutes walk to the station. The beds and rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Best of all, the mini bar was complimentary and replenished each day and they even swapped bottles of beer for mini bottles of wine. A great little hotel.

Stay 3 nights while visiting the Christmas markets. Was a 10-minute walk from the train station and then another 10 minute walk to the Christmas markets and the surrounding area where the main tourist attractions are. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast included was a bonus.

Perfect Location!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend. The location is perfect, just down the street from a square with great restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and answered all questions. Parking was also very easy with their garage. Just be sure to note that they do not have air conditioning in the rooms. The staff will provide fans and the windows can be opened, but in the heat of the summer the rooms can get quite warm. Also, if you're not a heavy sleeper request a room on the inside, not facing the street.

The only problem I had was the bedding. In short pyjamas, I sweated all night with the very warm duvet/doona/bed cover. The next night I tried sleeping naked, but again I sweated all night. There was no alternative lighter bedclothes, for example a lighter duvet or a single blanket. Without the supplied bed covering it was too cold to sleep. I do understand it was very cold at the time in Erfurt. That was the only issue I had. The hotel had a great breakfast and I enjoyed it there. Erfurt is an extremely beautiful town well worth the visit.

Excellent hotel in excellent city
Great hotel in great location at great price! We did have tea making facilities provided which is very unusual abroad and very welcome. No air con so can be a little hot in the room at night but this is our second stay at this hotel and won't be our last. Breakfasts a bit expensive so we chose to go out every day. Easy to get to from airport and station and lots of restaurants and sights within a few minutes walk.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Having a complimentary mini bar was a nice surprise. The room was comfortable. It was in an excellent location, within walking distance to the marktplatz, restaurants, and river.

Don't let the price for breakfast surprise you!
Breakfast was not included in the Price, nor parking, and both made the total Price for staying at the hotel much higher than expected when we booked the room. We therefore recommend guests to have their breakfast elsewhere, in one of the restaurants close to the hotel, unless you gladly pay 17 Euros per person for breakfast, which is the Price the hotel charges.

Great location for culture and shopping!
The location was excellent for shopping and cultural activities. There was almost always something going on at Anger Platz. The staff was extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. This is my second trip to Erfurt and I cannot imagine a better place to stay. Access to public transportation was excellent.

Fantastic Stay
This hotel is very well located. There are many places to eat close by and you can walk everywhere. Erfurt is a beautiful place and is definitely worth seeing. Gorgeous cathedral and churches. Lots going on in the evening close to the hotel - bands and entertainers in the Weinegmarkt. Cobble streets and with neat trinket shops and many great beer gardens!

Convenient location close to old town
The hotel features a sauna/spa, which I did not use. There is underground parking under the hotel, full and tight. My room was in the "historic" part... Breakfast is good and expensive. Unfortunately, my room did not match the description.
