“comfortable modern hotel”

from the first experience at checkin it was a great hotel.comfortable room with good bed and well appointed bathroom.We did look at the fitness room out of interest...we are fanatics but not on this trip...unremarkable.We would go back

“Perfect Stopover on the edge of Eisenach”

This was our second stay at the Pentahotel. It makes a perfect stopover location for those heading across Germany - ideal for us as we were getting a ferry from the UK in the morning and looking for arriving in the evening. The rooms and hotel are decorated with modern and slightly trendy touches and all the things you'd expect (though no tea or coffee making facilities in the room). A decent wash bag in the room is a nice touch. They have cots if you're taking a baby. Staff were friendly and speak English...I imagine it's a necessity when the hotel is down the road from an GM/ Opel factory. Half the hotel faces out into the valley with nice views of the area from the balconies (we haven't had a room on the other side so can't comment). Parking is out the front. Not much around the hotel though as it's outside the town, but it's only 2 mins drive away.

“Good hotel overlooking the Valley”

A good hotel with nice large confortable room. Service was good with only one disapointment, little or no information on local attractions. Restaurant had good food at reasonable price. Cost of room also reasonable considering our stay was in the holiday season. Would return again.

“Adequate Hotel Experience”

We knew this hotel was primarily for business so we were prepared for limited amenities such as a spa. We really weren't prepared for its location which is in an industrial park. The Opel factory is directly across the main road and the hotel sits in a park with engineering, tooling, etc. companies. Absolutely dead at night and on weekends. Having said that, the hotel sits at the top of the hill and has beautiful views of the surrounding hills and Wartburg Castle and there is a small bier garten on the terrace which is nice. Without a car, though, this would be a terrible location for travelers. Very limited English among the staff which accounts for our lower ranking for service. If you can't ask for a map or directions in English, then the hotel should not bill itself as multilingual. Overall, though, quiet, clean and great breakfast.

“Out of the way”

This is a very nice hotel with reasonable prices. I feel a bit mislead about the distances listed to local attractions. Even for an ambitious walker, a cab ride is required to get to this hotel. If you don't have a car, consider staying in Eisenach proper. Otherwise, a positive experience.

“outside of town”

This hotel which claims to be in Eisenach is actually in a sort of outlying suburb! When you get to the main road in front of the hotel, a sign informs you that Eisenach is still 2 km away. This is not a problem if you have a car, which we did not. The distances to the center of town and the Wartburg castle that were listed on the website could in no way be considered accurate so beware! Therefore, if a taxi is in your budget, then I recommend this hotel.
