Good location for day tripsPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Bd was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well
Cons: Breakfast was okay but could be better (by Israeli standards).
I was looking for a hub from which to explore the Galilee area, and the Berger was a relatively inexpensive location. The hotel is older and the rooms are small, but all I needed was a place to shower and sleep. The Internet worked pretty well in the room. The breakfast was mediocre, but definitely enough to keep me going for most of the day. Park g was only available on the street, but I never had trouble finding a spot (tourism in Israel was down significantly during my stay). It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the promenade where most of the restaurants and in-city tourist attractions are located. There is a mall and grocery store on the way. If you don't have high expectations, you will be satisfied.

Great place to stay in TiberiasPosted Jun 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel Berger was a great spot from which to base our Tiberias tour. The owner, Eli and his wife, were charming, and extremely helpful. We were given a room with a kitchenette, and told that we could have a microwave brought into the room if we needed. They even gave us suggestions for car rental, and interesting sites around the lake. The breakfast included in the price was just what we needed to start our day. At the end of our stay, Eli kindly invited us to leave our bags in our room after checkout and allowed us to use the room for a shower before our departure in the evening. Now that's customer service! The hotel is located next to a convenient bus stop for getting to and from the centre of town. Or, it's only a 15-20 min walk. Rent a car in Tiberias for getting around the lake, and securely park your vehicle at the Berger's free parking lot. We highly recommend the Berger on your trip through the Galilee.

Good HotelPosted Jun 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The signage is terrible. It was hard to find because the signs were behind trees. Once we got in it was very nice. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and had space. Very reasonable price.

convenient hotel for exploring The GalileePosted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: The balcony and the space and the manager was very friendly.
Cons: It was a bit dirty and definitely rather tired looking.
Location: Location with a car was excellent - being central in Galilee. A good 20min walk into Tiberias centre and parking in the centre is not so easy.
We are a family - 2 adults 2 kids and we got not just one room but 2 bedrooms and tiny kitchen and balcony - so an appartment

Pros: Location is great. We had a Sea of Galilee view room.
Mr. Berger made us feel home. He was very informative about bus routes and tourist attractions. He made phone calls for us to find out bus routes.

The rooms and ghe hotel was clean and efficient but they are starting to show their age. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner couldn't keep up, I think that it was turned down for cost. For the cost it was okay. One thing I wojld suggest is that one of the many easy chairs in the lobby which are hardly ever used should be put in the rooms for reading and watching tv.

Spacious bedroomPosted Mar 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Hotel is a bit far from the shopping center and the Sea of Galilee, but there is public transport in front the Hotel. The staff is pleasant, attentive staff, with check-in and check-out very fast. The breakfast is simple but well served and the Chef always asks if you want to add something. I liked the service and could return to staying there again, if not have no vacancies at hotels closer to the beach. Excellent cost x benefit.

Great budget option; friendly ownerPosted Feb 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Tiberias makes a convenient base for the Galilee area--it's an easy day trip to Nazareth (about 45 minutes away) and less than 30 minutes from the Christian holy sites on the Galilee (the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, the fishing boat, etc.). This hotel makes a great place to base yourself, especially if you're mostly going to be out for the day (if you want the whole beach-front resort thing, better to stay down the hill a bit). A bit on the basic side, but my room was comfortable enough, and the bathroom was clean and had a nice shower. Good wifi, too. Mr. Berger was a very friendly host. Free parking. Not much for food, etc. in the immediate area, but there are some restaurants a short drive away, and there's a major shopping mall down the hill a bit with many more services and places to eat.

Trip to TiberiasPosted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: The Breakfast is good and the owner / manager is very helpful and was well prepared for us.
Cons: The rooms are good but could do with an update, however the price is very good value.
Location: It's not in the centre of town, we had a hire car so not an issue. There are a lot of Christian sites to visit in the near vicinity.
We spent a day sightseeing around the sea of Galilee and Nazareth and this hotel was a very convenient place to stay. The manager treated us very well and seems to be a really nice guy, he gave us all the info we needed to make the most of our visit to the area.
