“Nice hotel in Tiberias, good location”

This was a nice, clean hotel. Service was very friendly.

“Probably even nicer when it's not raining”

The Galei Kinneret is on the pricey side, and we wouldn't have stayed there if not for the special Expedia rate. The building is nicely kept and not very large, which was a plus, and the back deck overlooking the Sea of Galilee looked like it would have been a great place to hang out if not for the rain which, for better or worse, followed us to Israel.

Area recommendations

Get off the main drag. It doesn't take much walking to escape the touristy area and get into the city proper, where life is typically Israeli instead of touristy. If traveling to/from Tiberias via Route 90, seriously consider a stop at the archeological digs in the city of Beit She'an.

Events and shows

There's a water and light show most evenings on the promenade, a five minute walk from the Galei Kinneret.

“Overnite stay at Galei Kineret”

I was extremely pleased with the service, amenities and dining room spreads the hotel offers. If I needed more towels, shampoo, etc. they were there within minutes. The spa accomodations were superb. Highly recommended.
