Switzerland was very expensive and in this resort town even more so! Breakfast was very good at this hotel. Air conditioning would have been nice! Staff was friendly

Clean room with a little balcony. Was overlooking the bar so got quite loud and we had to keep the balcony open in the night due to no air conditioning so it was noisy. However, friendly staff and lovely hotel near a coop and very walkable to the town centre.

Centrally located
Location of the hotel is by Piazza Grande. Our room was not part of the hotel but more like an apartment across. The room was big but dark and tired looking. Was not a welcoming look. Not enough socket points for charging our phones and none by the bedside. Slight overpriced in my opinion.

Good base in Locarno with old world charm
This hotel is very conveniently located near the center of town, the Piazza Costello. As an older property it has a definite charm with a pink theme with cherubs. Dinner in the restaurant was very good: the beef entrecôte was perfectly cooked medium rare, and my companions pork cordon bleu was good. The waitress was very genuine, and recommended an excellent wine for us. The room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel room was ok but a woman woke me up in the middle of the night because she continuously knocked on a door for about an hour from 1 to 2 a.m.

Hotel is in a good location. The roof terrace wasnt available during our stay. The rooms are clean and the restaurant was okay for meals in the evening.the is nearby parking for 9chf per day

Positive: Location near Piazza Grande Cheap Negative: Noisy in the evening, during the night and in the morning Drunk and loud people at night From 5 to 7 a.m. someone knocked permanently on doors At 6 a.m. someone even knocked on my door and tried to enter my room. Good thing I locked the door. Poor sleep.

The hotel is located at the quiet end of Piazza Grande, at the heart of city and close to the port, train station, and main shopping arcades, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. the room was clean and comfortable.Staff were friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi coverage in the room was strong and uniterrupted.

Surprisingly nice place to stay. Big room, very peaceful, nice breakfast. Only the parking you wil have to take in your own care, it means on the street.Saturdays and Sundays are free of charge. Yes I recomemending this hotel.

Amazing staff, the lady was really calm and helpful. Great location, walking distance from the city center. Parking is 20 Eur per 24 hrs at the central parking since no parking close to the hotel.

Clean an confortable hotel. If you are with a car you can not reach the hotel. They give you a discount parking ticket ( € 9 ) from a parking place. 300 mts. Close to the castello. Move with a small carry bag. Nice hotel

We booked this hotel 9 months in advance, so we were surprised when we were placed in what I call an "annex" of the hotel. The annex had no elevator, so one of our traveling companions who had a bad knee had to climb several flights of stairs to get to the room. The rooms in the annex were average at best; the breakfast provided was very good.

Hotel was quaint and in a great location at the end of the piazza. Rooms were small, but clean. No AC. We had room facing the bar and it was very noisy in the room until midnight.

Locarno Charm needs update.
Charming area, lovely breakfast dining area, but our section of the hotel is very outdated w/ uncomfortable beds, flat pillows, inoperable hairdryer. No lift as stated, nor self laundry, which was one reason the hotel was chosen.

Great location, neat and clean
I had read the reviews before booking and people were complaining to be a noisy hotel though I did not find it so. It was nice and clean and with plenty space and all the needful items inside the room, however one of the mattresses was too soft and not confortable, so the hotel should do regular checks to change those. Other than that was a pleasant staying

Spent two nights here while looking round Locarno. Nice location, at the edge of the old-town with good views. Facilities good and staff friendly and helpful. Parking available (at a good rate) in a near by under-ground carpark.

The room was very very noisy. I would not stay here again just because of this. At first it seems all quiet but then at about midnight the noise kicked off outside. The breakfast would have been sufficient if the waiters ever bothered to notice that the trays and plates were empty.
