“Tremendous Gem on the banks of Lago di Lugano”

There are few hotels in the world that enjoy a location such as this. I used to think the great Palazzo hotels on Lago di Como such as Villa D'Este and Villa Serbeloni were incredible, but this is a fabulous and luxurious hotel, located right on the Lake and with magnificent rooms, that have recently been upgraded and modernized. At the price, this is a superb deal.

Area recommendations

Bissoni has a Swiss Miniature World which is tremendous and cool; Lugano is a fantastic Alp town and the skiing in Winter nearby must not be too bad at all. Como is the entrance to the most beuatiful lake in the world and then you have Bellagio on that lake (Como) too...great area all told.

“Excellent services, however, it is too far from town.”

It is an excellent hotel with great services and Swiss hospitality. They do have free shuttle service into town at regular intervals with later pick-ups. For me, the hotel was too far out from the main town of Lugano. Certainly not within walking distance. Wonderful location overlooking the lake. Staff were extremely helpful and interested in meeting your needs. Excellent Wi-Fi service. If the hotel was closer into town, I wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

I would recommend the whole area around the lake. Lovely settings and very Italian.

“Beautiful Location”

The` hotel is at a stunning location on the lake Lugano. Excellent facilities and superb breakfast. However, the price comparison against value seems not balanced. We also felt like "online tourists" as we had the very last room chucked in the corner with not fully functional TV. We booked another room for our son for nearly the same price and got a much better value for the money. Nevertheless the area made up for this and we did enjoy after all.

Area recommendations

This is one of the most beautiful areas in Switzerland and the surroundings are stunning. Morcote is also known for his culinary excellence. Many places to go but as everthing in Switzerland it has its price.

“High quality, but expensive food”

$12 for tea was ridiculous. The food and service was excellent, but way overpriced.

“amazing views of lake Lugano”

great staff, upgraded our room because they knew was a special occasion. thank you again! the restaurant on the lake was probably the best in the whole canton! i would go back anytime!
