“Car show”
Nice , convienent to restaurants and stores....28 miles to Moultrie
“Nice sleeping area, Bathroom needed work, B'fast NOT worth paying for”
Beds and sleeping area VERY comfy and clean; appeared newly decorated. Bathroom gave hotel's age away; faded old wallpaper and flooring; tub didn't drain (clearly clogged with hair/soap), there was NO way housekeeping could have missed that IF they cleaned the tub. Tub appeared old/stained, but I do think it was clean. Shower curtain was mis-hung (hooks not in correct holes), so the ends of it hung down into the tub. Looked very sloppy. Also, our shampoo bottle was clearly used and simply refilled...the outside was coated with shampoo and was thus sticky, and it wasn't even filled to the top. Not impressive. The pool was, I'm sure, clean enough (the chlorine smell and feel about burns your nose inside!), but it is old and stained and thus looks filthy The hotel's b'fast is NOT free. We were charged $8.99 per person. It is like every other hotel's continental b'fast...make-your-own waffles and serve yourself items including scrambled eggs (they were dry and tasted like typical "egg product", not real eggs), bacon and sausage (tasty but very greasy), and extremely dry biscuits. There are some very nice ladies who provide beverage service (coffee, tea, juice)...but of course, we had to tip them. So we paid $9.99 per person...totally NOT WORTH THE $$$$. I recommend you go one block to any of the multiple restaurants, from fast food to Cracker Barrel, for a delicious b'fast at less cost. We stayed here because Tifton's Hilton Garden Inn was full. This is a #2 choice.
“Tired And Showing It's Age”
We have stayed here for the last 9 years as we made our way to and from Florida. While the staff has always been pleasant, the hotel itself has really started to show it's age. This despite the fact that the rooms seem to have gotten a more contemporary upgrade, but some of the bathrooms are very small and the fixtures don't work, or the decor is shabby. The pool has always been cold and the pool deck unclean. It is also a very small pool for a hotel that is usually full. We were delighted to see that a Hilton Garden Inn is going up. We will be staying there from now on.
