“awesome hotel for the price”

I had stayed at hotel lucerna the previous weekend. Other than the pool, lucerna had nothing on hotel real del rio. Its a smaller hotel but very clean and I highly recommend the breakfast buffet

“Very Impressed”

I like the hotel. Very clean, recently remodeled from what I hear, good food, very quiet. I really enjoyed it.

I would recommend it because it is close to downtown and Plaza Rio where we enjoy spending time when we are in Tijuana.

“Tijuana's best Hotel”

I will most defenately book all my TJ trips at this hotel. I enjoy the clean sparkling pool, great eating restaurants, and the service.

Area recommendations

I recommend to do your shopping at the Centro Commercial which is located 3 blocks west of the hotel on the same Blvd, take a taxi. Accross the street from the Centro Commercial there are several night clubs for great entertainment. They play a variety of music it just depends on the type of club you elect. HAVE A GREAT SAFE TIME IN MEXICO!!!!!!!

“never again”

This was my second time at this hotel. will never return to this MOTEL. After the delay in getting my room went up and sat on bed to rest the room smelled like sweat. it was disgusting. had to go complain in lobby.

“Hotel with a Swimming Pool in Tijuana”

Great Location,and the staff at the front desk spoke english. Hotel has a full restaurant on one side, and a full bar lounge on the other. Great place to meet people for meetings.

“Great hotel but needs to be renovated”

My wife and I returned to the hotel for our four yeat anniversary. We had our wedding reception at the hotel. The place is exactly the same. Great service, super well maintained and clean. The only complaint I do have is that the hotel and rooms are getting dated. It's time for a renovation. Everything is outdated but well maintained. Unfortunately you only have three real choices for this city and the other two are not in most convenient location.But if you want great service in a not so updated hotel this is the place.

Area recommendations

For a great dinner go over to Cheripan or Saverios. For Sunday brunch Espadana is a must.
