Pros: I like their shuttle service
Cons: They could have the casino area away from the rooms and dining area. I believed it should be in an enclosed area so others can have a good experience
Location: It was a good location.
When we got there, the hotel told us that they didn't have our information, and that they didn't have any non-smoking rooms for us. Finally they got us one. we were really disappointed because they have the casino machines next to the dining area and the smoke from the people playing is very strong. It doesn't matter if you ask for a non-smoking room because all the smoke goes up to the rooms. You come out of there smelling like smoke. Also, very disappointed about the Continental Breakfast. I wish that they could improve this for future customers.

I would rate the Hotel A1- Excellent

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Beyond my expectations. The hotel is very clean, employees very kind and helpful . My son and I were very surprised of such nice atmosphere. We parked our car at the facility without any problem because we felt secure and at ease. If I need to visit the area one more time I will chose the same hotel and I will recommend it to any one.

Consisently clean and comfortable

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Keep both elevators in working condition...lol..
Have stayed at Pueblo Amigo Hotel numerous times over the last 10 years-have seen many upgrades during that time. The hotel and its staff have always been first class. This recent trip I stayed in Suite 403 which was very nice, very quiet, and very comfortable. Karla at the front desk was especially nice in answering questions about Tijuana and giving wait times for the trip back across. I will stay at Pueblo Amigo next trip to Tijuana. PS: All rooms have complimentary bottled water!!

The service was great. Rooms were nice. Could do without the smoking from the casino though. I would stay there again.

Good Hotel Very Close to Border

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Location near border, rooms large and clean, breakfast buffet is also more than adequate.
Cons: Noisy, but not much they can do since it's a hotel-casino. Also some street noise so I recommend a high floor.
Location: Ten minute walk or 2 minute drive from the border. Not much to do right next to the hotel, but downtown Tijuana is a 5 minute drive away.
If you want to stay near the US-Mexico border just inside Mexico, the Pueblo Amigo is the hotel for you. It's about 2 minutes from the border (warning - you need REALLY good driving directions or GPS in this part of Tijuana). The hotel is a good facility with nice rooms and a decent restaurant. I stayed in a 2 Queen bed suite, lots of room and everything worked OK including WiFi. The hotel is laid out with an large atrium in the middle and that's where the casino is, so unless you're staying up late I recommend a high floor. I stayed on the 6th floor (top floor) and there was minimal noise. However, I've also stayed on lower floors and the slot machines can keep you awake until the wee hours if you're a light sleeper. Overall, this is a good place and I recommend it.
