This was our first trip to Tobago and because of the excellent service provided by Stein and family it will definitely not be the last. The hotel is located within walking distance of Store Bay and Pigeon Point beaches (10-20 mins) and if you don't like walking then a local taxi will get you there for $3.00TT (50 cents US). Stein even took us there on our first day. The hotel room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Wi Fi was always available - free of charge. Cable TV and Netflix also available. And if you knew how to program the remote Stein had a lot of local events available for viewing - calypso shows, steelband concerts etc. Breakfast which came with the room was excellent (spectacular might be a better word). We loved the local cuisine. Only wished dinner was available. Also, the hotel is just a short distance from the airport (about 5 minutes) and even so we never heard any noise from any airplane - only the roosters early in the morning.

A stay at Fish Tobago Guesthouse is a treat. It's very close to the airport (only 70TTD taxi fare, if you chose to get there that way). It's also very close to what could well be the best chicken shop in Tobago. Close enough to the beach to just get away and while away some time watching the beautiful Carribean Sea.

Blue Waters inn was exactly what we were looking for. If you want nightly entertainment and super-smart slick service it is not for you. If you want a peaceful, place where staff are friendly; if you don't mind a bit of confusion, accompanied by good will and humour then this will appeal. The setting is perfect - right on the beach and there are a couple of informal restaurants close by, serving pretty good food.

The hotel layout is very pleasing. The hotel location on the beach is optimal. We had a 'reef' room with an excellent view, well worth the additional cost, especially for the brilliant sunset and the marvellous moonlit sea. The staff around the hotel are numerous and very helpful, beyond the call of what would be considered duty in the UK; they all appeared to be very cheerful. Breakfast is excellent, and the bar serves very good cocktails.Caribbean-type entertainment in the foyer in the form of a steel band or conventional drummers were both excellent. The system for collecting and disposing of beach towels is efficient and valuable. The private artificial lagoon has very calm water and many interesting types of fish to be seen snorkelling. For those not wanting to veg out on the beach all the time, the hotel organises taxis to local or more distant parts of the island, without a premium according to our research, and taxis used by the hotel are required to get hotel guests back safely after evenings out! Useful for trips to restaurants or trips around the island. If you need to find a taxi back from elsewhere, it can be challenging until you understand the number-plate system - all private plates start with P, all taxi plates start with H.

Lovely people, very relaxed. 3 star hotel so not everything is pristine (problem with the plumbing, no kettle in the room). Room cleaned every day. Wonderful view - can hear the surf). Food good - not much choice but I liked that.
