Mixed - wouldn't go back.

Food was terrible: much of it deep fried in horrible smelling oil. We told them and left meals uneaten but they didn't offer any discount etc and we paid £35 for 4 drinks and supper. Not cheap and not nice. Beer was good though. We should have gone to Weatherspoons which was just down the road. The bed was great: big, warm, couldn't have been better. The room was quite good, but had a big hum from the kitchen vent which went up the outside wall. Happily it stopped at around 10pm. And the bathroom door jammed on the floor so it only opened 2 foot.. Heating was wonderful on a cold day, and adjustable. Staff did their best, but didn't do that well.

happy customer

my room was beautifully decorated, but needs a little tlc here and there. I felt extremely comfortable. Service was quick, the food was very good and breakfast was delicious. I had pretty good wifi, the television perfectly adequate. The patrons were nice and friendly. I will definitely stay again

Convenient for train station and taxis

Location: Todmorden has a few excellent restaurants (Hartleys e.g.), cafes and an interesting weekend market;canal and hill walks abound
booked from the Internet, pleasant welcome, room pleasant apart from some water damage which a lick of paint could have overcome and rather noisy music from the kitchen(?) from 7.30; breakfast good (some fresh fruit would improve?); good selection of beers and pub food seemed fine.

A night away

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: As above
Cons: As above
Location: As above
We have stayed here before and were happy to rebook. We needed a bed for the night after a party we were invited to. The room was pleasant although not very big. It had all that we required (or expected), although I would have preferred actual bars of soap etc. rather than a couple of soap dispensers - one by the shower and one by the hand basin. The shower was just adequate in that the water pressure was truly pathetic so if we had wanted a longer stay and needed to wash our hair it would have taken a long time under that shower head! The space around one side of the bed was minimal - my husband was that side! The bed was extremely comfortable and that really is the most important thing! The breakfast was served very pleasantly by a the staff who were very friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent being next to the station and in the centre of the little town. We will stay again I am sure.

Convenient location

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Very attentive staff
Cons: A full length mirror in the room would be excellent
Location: Good location for both station and a 10 minute walk to town.
I booked into the Queen Hotel with my granddaughter for 3 nights. We had a double bed for the first night but were given a twin bed for the next two nights which suited us better. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was varied and very well cooked and we also ate at the hotel In the evening, and the food was plentiful and of a high standard. Would certainly stay there again.
