Pros: A very clean, quiet and well thought out design. Great group firepit with bbqs. Excellent beach access.
Cons: My dream for my 60th B day was to enjoy a hot tub after a tiring day of Storm Watching... alas ... no hot tubs.
Location: Cox Bay, the surfing, Pettinger Point Outlook and the easy distance to town.
We stayed at the Pacific Sands to enjoy the 'Storm Watching'. The weather was fantastic! Bright sun and stunning sunsets! Amazing wave, surf action observed from Pettinger Point... not what we had envisioned but so much better. The Hotel Staff were fast, efficient and very friendly. We enjoyed our 'Lighthouse' room and found it to be perfect for 2. We would recommend this location with it's beach to everyone!

Great!Posted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: The front desk staff were incredible.
Location: Visit Tofino, Ucluelet, the rainforest trails, the light house and Schooner Restaurant
The view of the ocean from our room was romantic and beautiful! The room was large, clean and we appreciated the rain jackets hanging in the closet.

Nice hotel great location near the beachPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: location, cleanliness, all supplies in hotel are in good condition, staff are helpful
Location: right near the town- we walked on the beach to the next hotel which was five minute walk for appetizers just for a change of sceanery.
Pacific Sands is a great place to stay -it is good condition and well cared for. I really like the fact that you can take your dog. I would and have recommended the place to friends. It is right on the ocean with a great view.

Nice location but too noisyPosted Nov 23, 2013
We liked the fact that we could see the water but we went without the kids hoping to have quiet mornings. Both mornings we awoke to running, screaming kids at 6:30 am beside us. There is no sound proofing at all. Also our blinds in the unit we're see through so we felt as if we were in a fish bowl at night. The room however was clean and nice but a little dated. I think for the price there are better places to stay.

Peaceful Hotel with excellent Ocean Ambience!Posted Nov 9, 2013
Pros: The views and the bed was so comfortable.
Cons: Phones in the rooms would be nice
Location: Many beach hikes, Radar hill for history, Tofino for some quaint shopping or take a whale watching tour. Try Hotsprings Cove! Fabulous!
As soon as we entered our Ocean Front Studio suite, we knew we were in for a treat. Clean comfort and outstanding views. The staff was knowledgable and friendly and with a free shuttle into Tofino we got to experience a wonderful community as well. The only thing I must say is be ready for pay-phones in the causeways for communication, spotty internet and no restaurant on the premises but many choices nearby. For ourselves, these things were a very small inconvenience but I know for others it may mean more. Can't say enough about the beaches! All in all, an outstanding choice.

Nice hotel and grounds with great beach access.Posted Oct 28, 2013
The hotel staff were very friendly and the resort was very nice and in a great location right on the beach. The rooms were roomy and comfortable with full kitchens which we found very convenient. The hotel has a DVD and magazine library which is great and a nice covered area with BBQ's and a fire pit close to the beach which we didn't use during our stay in October but would be great during the summer. The only downside is that the hotel has no restaurant/cafe for food on site and we found our room a little noisy being able to hear the occupants of the room above moving around late at night. The town centre is about a 5-10 minute drive away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

Beautiful suite right on the beach, clean and warmPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Most impressive = the view while sitting by the fireplace; private setting; high quality of details in rooms;
Location: Sits on a huge, beautiful beach on the west Vancouver Island, close to Tofino. Plenty of nature trails, kayaking and whale watching
Came with family, found fully equipped kitchen and the whole apartment, perfect for special occasions, extras like rain jackets; clean and well looked after. Friendly and efficient staff, helpful with other arrangements. Well worth the expense.
