“STAY HERE!! DON"T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!! BEST DEAL IN PACIFIC RIM!!”

I cannot say enough good things about Water's edge resort. Room was great with a kitchen, balcony and private hot tub! Free laundry, Free use of Kayaks. Great location where we watched Bald Eagles fly over the water right outside our window. Low key Ucluelet was pleasant and close to hikes, beach and tide pooling. I would go back in a MINUTE.

Getting there

Easiest to fly to Vancouver and drive then fly to Seattle like we did.

Must see

Pacific Rim trail of course but ask at the information desk where the best tide pooling is and go at LOW tide. You will not be disappointed. It is beautiful. Stay at this hotel. It's one of the best we've been too. Got a great price through expedia.

“All the perks included”

The Waters Edge Resort at Pacific Rim was a sheer delight! The staff was super helpful and really wanted us to enjoy our experience of the Pacific Rim. They provided great ideas for adventures and eating, plus provided free kayaks and some warmer clothes, maps, and free wash and dry including soap and softner sheets. Room was amazingly comfortable and it made our quick 2 day trip so much more enjoyable. Great location withing walking or driving distance of great adventures.

Area recommendations

Ucluelet and Tofino were both great adventure spots with lots to see and do. The entire Pacific Rim coastline is a wonderful site to see.

“"Excellent Resort Experience, As Usual"”

Over the years we have stayed at this resort many times. The accomodations were superb as usual, as was the customer service, from inn keeper to maid and maintenance personnel. We recommend Waters Edge Resort and a vacation to Ucluelet and Tofino BC to everyone, friends, family as well as strangers. Some of the things we enjoyed doing were: Kayaking (provided free by the resort; Bear-watching at the hatchery; Hiking on the Wild Pacific Trail; Whale-watching: Visiting native American art galleries; Fine dining every night; and exploring Pacific Rim National Park. Great vacation!

Area recommendations

The entire 30 mile stretch on the west side of Vancouver Island, BC from Ucluelet to Tofino must be visited. Here contains the only sandy beaches on the western coast of Canada.

When to go

We travel to this location during the "soft" season, after family vacations have been taken and kids are back in school. The pace is more leisurely. The resort rates are better (usually after Oct. 1st). And, bear watching is best as the animals are out, fattening up for winter.

“Not Luxurious but not far off!”

Charming bay and marina view! Beautiful surroundings! Lovey town. Excellent place for pictures! Although it was a little cool and sparse, it was very clean, comfy bed and bedding, very friendly and accommodating staff! I wish we could have stayed longer!
