Tokoname is located some 170 miles (274 kilometers) from Tokyo, the national capital, and about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Nagoya.
Don't limit yourself to Tokoname; Aichi features a treasure trove cultural and scenic attractions just waiting to be explored. Yokkaichi, is 13 miles (21 kilometers) to the southeast. Go there to experience the Yokkaichi Dome and Suzuka International Racing Course (Suzuka Circuit).
Grab some transportation and spend some time in Nagoya, a regional center, approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) away from Tokoname. The city offers plenty of points of interest, such as Nagoya Rainbow Hall, Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art and Toyota Stadium. Koshoji Temple, Port of Nagoya Aquarium and Tsurumai Park are good places to visit.
Houses of the holy are the perfect portals into a region's spiritual traditions. The shrines of Aichi are certainly no exception. Spend a day in the fresh air and sunshine and explore Aichi 's fascinating open-air markets, open-air museums and gardens.
