Pros: Proximity to Akiba and the train systems.
Cons: The internet connection - flaky!!
Location: Akiba!
If you're looking for a 'western' style room, keep looking. If you're looking for a clean, safe place to stay on a whirlwind Akiba/ Tokyo visit, where you're spending 75% of your time not in the room and travelling light, this is definitely a good place.

Single room a bit small (just enough space to put down the luggage, but that's about it), but not a problem if you plan to be out and about most of the time anyway. Place is very convenient - across the street from Akihabara (geek town), and JR Yamanote & JR Chuo lines. That means you're 30min from Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, Ikebukuro (shopping & temples), and about 10-15min from Ueno, Asakusa, Tokyo Stn, the Palaces (more shopping, more temples, museums and a Zoo). Day-trip trains to Nikko (more temples and some Tokugawa Mausoleums) also leave from Asakusa, so that was quite convenient. It's on the easterly side of Tokyo, so it's that much closer if you're flying in/out from Narita. There's also a 7/11 right outside, and some late-night ramen/noodle places and a grocery a minute up the alley in case.

Nice enough hotel not far from Akihabara station

Pros: Comfortable bed
Stayed there for one night which was fine but wouldn't want to stay for much longer due to the small size of the room.
