“Great quality for the price in Tokyo”
The room was huge by Tokyo standards. We have stayed in several comperable hotels and this had the largest room of all. The location was good, but the Metro subway was a long walk. After getting our orientation, we were able to navigate thru Shinjuku station fairly well. The east view is better than the west view. We took the limousine bus directly to the hotel. The hotel lobby is on the 20th floor. Other than the overpriced coffee shop, we enjoyed our stay.
“Terrific Location”
Very convenient location for public transportation (short walk -- manageable with luggage -- from hotel to Narita Express train to airport and all other rail lines passing through Shinjuku Station). Abundant food choices nearby, from department store food courts to full service restaurants. Hotel gift shop prices were the same as those at nearby stores for snack items. Extremely quiet room, wired and wireless broadband internet access in room; Ethernet cable provided.
“A Wonderful Place To Stay”
Quite a lovely place to stay. A nice short walk from Shinjuku station gets you there, making it an easy place to get to from Narita. The room was surprisingly spacious, as was the tub as well. I found the staff to be quite helpful and fluent in English. I did not eat at any of the hotel's restaurants so I cannot comment on those. The room was shockingly quiet for overlooking Shinjuku station and the view was wonderful. It's also nice that the hotel is just a few blocks from the Electric Street section of Shinjuku, making it easy to get to the nightlife. All in all quite an enjoyable place to stay.
“Great location, small room but clean”
Great location, small room but quite clean. Good breakfast.
“great location for tourists”
The hotel is very well located - very near to Shinjuku station which is a major transportation hub (subway, interregional trains, airport trains & busses). The area itself is not that exciting but very close to many sites and the proximity to the subway is invaluable. The hotel itself also offers everything you could ask for: free wifi, Starbucks outside, big department store (4min walk) and many restaurants.
“love japan”
This hotel is not only in a great neighborhood, Shinjuku, but is also a great hotel to stay in while you're in Tokyo. An easy walk from the Shinjuku Train Station and/or the Haneda/Narita bus drop off area in a newly built up area (Southern Terrace). The room was large, the staff friendly and helpful, the views very nice, and all around a wonderful place to stay. The price I paid on Expedia was very competitive with 2 and 3 star hotels. Free wifi and internet tv in the room with english channels. Hotel reception is on the 20th floor. Starbucks and Krispy Kreme both located on the Southern Terrace on the way to hotel. I travel alone and carry my own luggage, which is necessary for this hotel. I did not eat in the hotel restaurants. I'd stay here again anytime!
“Great Hotel”
My partner and I stayed at this hotel first week in October 2011. As first time visitors to Tokyo, we found the hotel location was perfect. A few steps to Shinjuku station. We stayed in a corner unit on the 29th floor. The hotel was very clean, modern and we had incredible views of the city from our room. Staff was very amicable and professional.
“Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Price”
The Century Southern Tower Hotel was a pleasant surprise to us. A very modern hotel, clean, friendly staff who spoke English and eager to help. Room was very clean and comfortable with a typical Japanese bed. The hotel is in a convenient location, walking distance to the Shinjuku JR station, Starbucks and Krispy Kreme in back of hotel. It is also within walking distance to the Meiji Shrine and Shinjuku Gardens.
“Perfect location in Tokyo”
Wonderful views from any room, steps away from the busiest and most convenient train station in the city. Great place. Breakfast buffet probably not worth the price with all the other options in the area. Bar in lobby on 20th floor is a nice splurge, though.
“The best hotel to stay in Shinjuku!”
Spacious. Clean. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. Awesome ammenities. 5 minute walk from Southern Terrace Exit of JR Shinjuku train station. Starbucks and Krispy Kreme on the same street. Tokyu Hands in the Takashimaya Tower 5 minute walk away.
