Beautiful hotel, excellent location.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Was so great to be situated right in the heart of Shinjuku city, and a 2-3 minute walk from the train station. The hotel was fantastic, with breathtaking views of the city and a spacious room with a great bathroom. So many restaurants both in the hotel building and nearby, and the staff were very helpful - even lending us an adaptor as we forgot one, and helping us organising airport transport.

Great option for mid priced hotel in shinjuku

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Modern hotel, great location easily accessible with suitcases from Shinjuku station, amazing views & helpful staff.
Cons: Nil
Stayed here 4 nights in early February. Great base for exploring Tokyo, especially the west side of the city, but only 25 minutes to Ueno on the yamonote line.

Fantastic location - Nice hotel

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: Location. Quiet. Views.
Cons: Something missing from the service. The main floor bar with spectacular views should be great - instead food is poor and service is disorganized.
Location: Subway access takes you everywhere. Great shopping. Fantastic food. All nearby.
Tokyo travels on the subway and having their busiest station a three minute walk away from your hotel is great. The hotel is modern and elegant. The views are great because the main floor of the hotel is on the 20th floor.

Close to JR

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Very close to JR AND some department stores. A nice and not too complicated area in shinjuku. Very nice view from hotel as it located on 20/f and above. Hotel limousine available which is very convenient. However room is small.

Look no further, great views, staff & experience!

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Everything was great! Really!!! Very clean rooms with great views, great staff, great location - tons of options nearby.
Cons: Nothing, it was excellent!
Location: Shinjuku is a great area. Would highly recommend the Golden Gai area!
This was our first trip to Tokyo and absolutely loved this hotel! Would def stay here again on our next trip. If you're on the fence, the scenic views are def worth the extra cost. We had an east side view which was great. I think the Mt. Fuji view is on the west side. Location is close to Shinjuku station (so very convenient for the narita express airport train, metro etc). From the station, Be sure to follow the signs for the south exit / southern terrace or you could end up taking a long and confusing walk - I really can't stress this enough. We had brunch at the restaurant on the 20th floor which was a combination of western and Japanese style buffet - very good!

Excellent location but mediocre amenities

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The location is excellent and hotel is better than the others nearby.
Cons: The attitude of the staff can be more friendly and accommodating. I understand they're going to renovate most of the rooms in 2015.
Location: Shopping is the bes with so many department stores and shops nearby. Convenient access to the train station.
I've stayed at this hotel before for the same reason. Location, location, location. Being one of the closest to Shinjuku Station and having decent sized rooms sealed the deal. The rooms are nothing to write home about. Nice clean and spartan. The staff doesn't go out of the way to be helpful but they are efficient.

Big room hotel in the center of Tokyo

Posted Dec 31, 2014
I was going to travel with my family. We, therefore, needed big rooms to fit us all, and this is not easy to find in Tokyo where hotels are normally small, unless you book 5 star accomodations, which is also too expensive. I was lucky to find Century Southern. It allows max. 3 adults + 2 children per room. The room as two queen beds, and you can request for an extra bed. Perfect for us. It was also located near Shinjuku station South Exit (which is just 5-10 mins walk, and just need to cross the street). The Airport Bus Limousine also stops infront of the hotel. There is also Takashimaya, Kinokuniya, Uniqlo, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, etc. just near the hotel. Rooms and hotel are well kept and nice. Staff can speak English and helpful, including helping us book restaurants before our visit. They also respond to emails pretty fast. It doesn't have bell service, which is okay as it keeps hotel cost low. It also has a magnificent view of Tokyo skyline (don't need to go to Tokyo Tower; you will have this view everyday). It also offers breakfast for a fee, but we decided to take it outside. This hotel will definitely be my default hotel in Tokyo from now on.
