“Excellence in shibuya”

This is a great hotel. Excellent staff, great location. It is very easy to get to other parts of the city from shibuya. There is a great grocery stories the basement of the train station wi excellent food and a great selection of wine. The only down side of the hotel isn't they only have wireless in the business center and they charge 525 yen for 15 minutes! They have access in the room with cable connection but charge 1025 yen for 24 hours just like in the us. Wireless is very hard to find in Japan so be prepared to make other arrangements.

Getting there
The best way to get from the airport to hotels is with the friendly bus service. There is a desk in the main hall after you clear customs. Very easy when you are tired and costs 3000 yen. Delivers you to the front door of most major hotels.

“Supreme value”

I've stayed here a number of times over the past four years. Always supremely good value. Last time, I happened to meet several band members from Motley Crue - no dinosaur celebrities this time, but still highly recommended.

Area recommendations
Shibuya is the closest thing to "Times Square" in NYC, and it is about two blocks away, and I had a great view of it from my room. Also, nice view of the sun setting behind Mount Fuji. Can it really get any better?
Events and shows
Seems to be the place where many famous musicians, actors & artists stay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

“Great Stay”

From arrival to departure, the hotel was terrific. Great service, clean, great location. Staff command of English is exceptional, making it easy for the non-Japanese traveler to feel comfortable.

Area recommendations
Shibuya is a terrific location - super central and accessible. From the airport, the limo bus stops right at the hotel.

“Superb location, excellent value”

I've stayed here about half a dozen times over the past three years, and still rank it very highly. The rooms are large and the service is outstanding. The hotel is about a block away from a major train & subway station, making mobility very easy. The main local attraction is ample shopping but also an abundance of eateries, all within 4-5 block radius.

Area recommendations
I am happy with the Shibuya area. Nearby is also Harajuku (a comfortable walk or jog).

“Overall good location and reasonable hotel, but customer service needs improvement”

Staff at the reception was not very polite and friendly. They put me in a smoking room instead of non-smoking as requested claiming that this room is non-smoking. I felt a smell of smoke and found a sign in the room "Please refrain from smoking in the bed" that eliminated my doubts. I talked to another person at the reception and within minutes front manager came and apologized and moved me to executive non-smoking room ten floors higher. I also got free internet in my room. This was a free upgrade and executive rooms are much nicer with more impressive views. Hotel location is great. Shibuya area around is fantastic with lively young crowds in all days. Easy to go anywhere once you figure out the subway system. Seven eleven store is nearby and cash machine that accepts foreign cards is around the corner - check with concierge since Japanese ATM's do not recognize foreign cards. Overall good location and reasonable hotel, but customer service needs improvement and lack of wireless internet is a bummer. Stay at executive rooms

Other
Talk to concierge to find working cash machine. Japanese machines do not take foreight card

“A Nice Place To Stay Overseas...”

A modern hotel somewhere in between a boutique and a Hilton. Excellent and convenient location. Beds and Bathrooms are clean with the cool Japanese toilet. Amenities are okay quality but you get lots of it and the view from 90% of the rooms are awesome at night. A real Tokyo neon lit skyline. No worries, they have blackout curtains for zzz time. If you get a chance, try out the breakfast buffet, especially the omelets. You'll get a choice between Japanese and American fare. Laptop users, make sure your ethernet works, no wifi, otherwise its downstairs to the business lounge at $32/hour. A good deal overall for Tokyo.

Area recommendations
Harajuku - Nice temple and large garden, fun shopping, good eats and on Sundays in the morning, funny, young, people dancing. A very unique Japanese experience.

“Good hotel and location, but beware no wifi”

We stayed here for 10 days in November while in Tokyo visiting friends. The hotel was very comfortable with great views of the city and very helpful staff. There are several restaurants located in the hotel if you do not want to venture out in to the busy local streets. We only ate in the Italian restaurant for lunch and the food was just ok. There is a busy bar area on the ground floor but in the evening the bar on the top floor charges about the the same but has fantastic views so is a much better option. Be warned that the hotel has wired internet access but absolutely no wifi anywhere so if you are travelling with something like an iPad you can't connect to the internet - very inconvenient and disappointing considering the cost of the rooms as they also charge to use the business center. With Shibuya station only a short walk with JR lines and underground the location is good to get around the city. Would recommend the hotel but we wouldn't stay again until they add wifi to the list of facilities...
