“Very Nice”
Dai-Ichi Tokyo is a very nice hotel. I would say it deserves a 4 star rank. The area is fine--not far from the Ginza and close to Shinbashi Station. Not the Ritz or Four Seasons, but a fine place. No complaints, but not overwhelming, either
“Can't Wait to go back”
I simply don't have the words to describe how nice this hotel is. Staff was awesome, very friendly. Also they did speak english too. Location is great within walking distance of Ginza shopping district and if you wanted to go anywhere else the subway is about a 5 minute walk away. Whenever I come back to Tokyo I know where I will be staying.
“Great hotel experience”
All the plaudits above are right on. If you don't have loads of luggage (why should you), consider taking the JR Rapid Narita Airport from Narita Airport T2 straight to Shimbashi Station (1450 yen, 92 min, lots of local color). Exit 5 from JR to Ginza, go straight ahead across the street, walk past the Metro entrance on the other side of the street, take the next left under the tracks, and the Dai-Ichi is on the next corner to the right (tall tan tower with flower). Consider a one or two day Metro pass at the airport for central Tokyo. As an aside, just underwent one great earthquake for 3 minutes while writing this post.
“Truly "Number One"”
This was simply the best hotel we've ever stayed in - hands down. Every part of the experience was exceptional. The Hotel was GORGEOUS, our suite was exceptional with beautiful appointments, large beds huge bathroom with a two-person tub with a view (yes, a VIEW). In fact the bathroom was about the size of my daughter's apartment in kyoto. The (included) breakfast room was similarly appointed and stocked with a beautiful buffet.. Staff were great, and the hotel was accesible by tunnel to the local transit. I would definitely stay there again.
“Impressed but...”

“Another enjoyable stay”
This was my third stay at the hotel and just as enjoyable as the previous two. Excellent location with many good restaurants and cafes close by, also the subway.
“Tokyo's Best hotel near Ginza.”
Whenever in Tokyo, Dai-Ichi is the place to stay. Very Convenient to all, shopping, dining, entertainment, business and train/subway stations. Will always go back.
“Good for business, good for leisure”
convenient location with reasonable price room is relatively small but average for Tokyo stay
“Great hotel and location!”
The Dai Ichi in Tokyo is more than convenient, friendly & helpful staff, especially the concierge desk manager. Nearby restaurants (several attached in the complex) are wonderful. Luxury near everything.
“First Class on all counts”
This hotel offers excellent value and luxury. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station with easy access to business. The staff were extremely attentive and professional and the accommodations first class.

Area:
Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
