A marble-floored two-story atrium is dominated by a ceiling-high mural flanked with velvet drapes and depicting an old-Europe garden scene. A sunken lobby lounge has clustered seating and is complemented by an additional 11 restaurants/bars, most of which are on the hotel's second story. Guests can also get a quick bite from a French-style bakery, which offers hotel-made treats and gifts. Other conveniences include a barber/beauty shop, florist, and wedding salon.

The Dai-ichi's annex building, just across the street, holds an adults-only fitness studio and swimming facilities, which include an 18-meter lap pool and a large spa tub. Surcharges apply. An Italian is also onsite.

Conference/function room(s): Hung with crystal chandeliers, the pillarless grand ballroom can hold up to 500 event attendees. A smaller banquet room has inverted dome-style crystal chandeliers and can accommodate 350. Both have sound and interpretation equipment. Four different function rooms can be booked for smaller meetings/events. A Japanese-style shrine and Western-style wedding chapel are also available.

L'etoile - Buffet restaurant for lunch and dinner. Serves international cuisine amid a gardenlike atmosphere generated by pastel color scheme, garden mural, light-colored furnishings, and gazebo-like buffet stations. Also serves afternoon tea.

Ichizushi - Sushi restaurant open for lunch and dinner. Serves Edo-style sushi, noted for its use of fresh, raw fish.

Enchanté - Fine-dining French restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dark wood furnishings, gilt-edged mirrors, and richly colored Victorian-style wall coverings and drapes establish a formal atmosphere complemented by classical music.

Trax - Italian-style café and bar. Open for lunch and late-afternoon/evening cocktails. Modern, casual atmosphere. Buffet lunch menu includes homemade sandwiches; cocktails and appetizers are offered for pre-dinner dining and late-night snacks.

Lounge 21 - Offers views of Tokyo Bay and a large range of drinks from around the world.

Ittetsu - Traditional teppanyaki restaurant: meats, seafood, and vegetables are cooked tableside on grills. Offers set lunch and à la carte dinner. Features city views.

Rogairo - Shanghai-style cuisine for à la carte and set lunch, and set dinner. Entrance is flanked by two imposing marble lion statues.

Tokai-Tei - Specializes in Shabu-shabu (beef hot pot), a dish similar to sukiyaki. Private tatami dining rooms available.

Iseshiro - Serves yakitori (grilled chicken speared on sticks) for lunch and dinner. Casual setting.

Akashi - Japanese restaurant for lunch and dinner. Private rooms also available.

Lobby Lounge - Lounge with clustered seating in a sunken portion of the atrium lobby, with ceiling-high garden mural as backdrop.

Rue Des Briques - French-style bakery offers hotel-made pastries, candies, and gifts.

Trattoria La Paranza - Located at the hotel annex, this restaurant serves traditional southern Italian cuisine, with specialties such as Napolitan pizza.

The Dai-ichi annex houses a fitness centre and swimming facilities for guests 18 and older (other restrictions apply). It includes an indoor pool, spa tub, sauna, aromatherapy room, fitness studio, and locker rooms. The 18-meter three-lane pool is suitable for lap and casual swimming and is complemented by a large spa tub and sauna. In addition to at least 15 treadmills and other cardiovascular machines, the fitness centre offers free-weights and a variety of fitness classes. Surcharges apply for use of all facilities; surcharges are discounted for hotel guests. Fitness and swimwear, including shoes, bathrobes, and goggles, can be rented at the fitness-center desk.

Respite from a busy day can be had with a jog or stroll through the 41-acre Hibiya Park. Approximately five blocks from the hotel, it was the city's first Western-style park and features 200 different varieties of trees, plus flowering bushes. Or, guests can venture a bit farther for a turn through the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, 1.5 km (1 mile) from the hotel.
