“Excellent Services”

The hotel staff was very courteous, and the concierge was most helpful in finding places in Tokyo, and even provided maps of areas near subway stops, etc. Hotel is close to Shinagawa train station (a major stop for intracity trains as well as trains outbound to places such as Kamakura. The hotel has a large, beautiful Japanese garden with bell tower, ponds, waterfalls, and flowering plants of all varieties. Internet access is free, and the breakfast buffet is exceptionally good.

“Beautiful Hotel and Great Experience”

Excellent Hotel, front desk speaks english, which is very nice to have while in japan where english outside of the hotels is rarely a quality. The room was nice and big with a view of the garden. I found the restaurants to be a bit expensive, but they are buffet style and there are 3 of them. This hotel is definitely for the person who has a bit more money to give out.

“very convenient place in tokyo”

It is located in a convenient location. Just take a bus ($30) from Narita Airport, the bus will take you to the entrance of the hotel in one hour. Ask for a corner room (100 sq ft larger) if it is available. If you stay multiple nights, you may be upgraded to a better room (comes with bath robes, slippers, and PJs).

“Great stay in Shinagawa”

This hotel is a 5 minute walk (downhill to and uphill from) from the Shinagawa train station which is a major hub for Tokyo and made it very easy for us to get around. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and accomodating. It looks like all rooms in the building we stayed at had balconys which was nice for the mornings and evening. The pools were closed but looked nice - the gym cost too much $ to try out. There was also a Outback Steakhouse and TGI Fridays on the same block so it made for a nice meal on those tired nights. I would definitely stay here again if I end up in Tokyo.

“Great Hotel”

My daughter and I stayed at four different hotels during our two week trip to Japan. This was by far the best. The room was very comfortable with enough room for our 2 big pieces of luggage and a nice big bathroom. There was a reasonably priced breakfast of all you can eat soup similar to minestrone, coffee, orange juice and a choice of 3 bakery fresh pastries. This became one of the most filling meals we had because we found the food throughout Japan to be very expensive. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from Shinagawa train station which took you up and around several Prince hotels. It actually was an easy walk directly up the hill from the station so often we would walk. Mostly everyone spoke English and were very helpful. If I ever return to Tokyo, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

“If we go back I would stay at the same Hotel”

The hotel was really nice. What I like about it to was if you didn't do cleaning everyday. The would give you a 10 dollar credit to use in the hotel. Which we use at the restaurant and the gift shop. But it can only be every other day. The room we stayed in was really nice and clean.

“THE NEW TAKANAWA IS THE PRINCE”

The Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa is by far the best place to stay in Shinagawa. I had a medical emergency during my stay and the staff made me comfortable and got me to a doctor quickly. The Sakura garden was superb. The food and service at Matsukaze was excellent. All of the staff, especially Guest Relations & the Business Center were friendly, eager to help in any way, and on top of their game. This hotel is close to Shinagawa Station and a Catholic Church. Room service was top notch! The Bell Service very efficient and polite. Security was tight. Duomo arigatou.
