“Very satisfied with Hotel”
I recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to be in a nice neighborhood with convenient Metro and Bus transportation. People at the front desk are very nice and very helpful. Buffet breakfast is superb.
“Wish I could have stayed longer”
Top notch service. Superb amenities. Could not have been a better stay.
“But is it worth it?”
We chose to go with the Hilton due to the reduced room rate and generally good ratings, as well as the convenient location near Shinjuku station. However, the hotel applies an extra guest charge that negates the reduced Expedia rate, turning an inexpensive stay into an expensive one. Internet access, a free amenity at many hotels in Japan, is over $20 for 24 hours. The in-house bar and restaurant prices are extortionate. While I do expect higher bar prices at hotels, one shouldn't have to pay $18 for a rail drink or a local, draft beer, even in Japan. So, while it is a Hilton, and provides most of what you would expect under that name- including sterile rooms and outdated decor- I question whether it is worth the cost.
“Tokyo's Best Bet”
While visiting family stayed at the Hilton. Very courteous and helpful staff. Room was more spacious and comfortable than others. Close to the train system and major attractions.
“pricey but nice”
Room was spacious and comfortable however Internet access is not free. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
“Great Hotel In a Great Location”
The Hilton was a very nice western style hotel. It was in great condition and kept very clean. The view from our room was fantastic. The buffet breakfast was huge. They had both american style food such as eggs, bacon, and hash browns. For Japanese food, they has sushi and other kinds of sea food. The downside to this hotel, was that you had to pay $20 per person to use the pool. In addition, the reservation only included breakfast for 1 person. It was a little bit of a walk to the train station though. Overall, it was a very good hotel.
“WILL ALWAYS TRY TO STAY THERE WHEN IN TOKY.”
GREAT LOCATION FOR TRAINS AND SUBWAYS.
“Hilton”
Though not bad the Hilton is not up to the stadnards of similarly priced hotels in teh area e.g Keo Plaza or Hyatt. The Executive upgrade is worthwhile with free internet access and breakfast covering the extra cost.
“Best Hilton Hotel”
I've stayed at the Hilton Tokyo over a dozen times, mostly for business, but also for personal vacations. I've only had good experiences at this hotel. The rooms are large in comparison to other Japanese hotels. In the past few years they've undergone a renovation that has updated the rooms to a warm contemporary design. Their rooms are quiet, clean, and functional. The staff is very helpful. In the past I've used their concierge service to book Sumo tickets, find an English speaking doctor, ship my luggage to the airport, store my luggage for a week, etc. They've always been able to accommodate any request. On this recent trip, I forgot my hat in my room when I checked out. I phoned them the next day and they not only had my hat, but shipped it to me immediately. Although I find the costs of their restaurants to be on the expensive side (there are many reasonable restaurants in walking distance), the food is excellent, I especially like their buffet breakfast.
“Loved the hotel. Would recommend it and would stay there again.”
The hotel was nice, clean. It is in a good location. There is an underground passageway to the metro rail system, and the hotel is only a few stops from the station with trains going to the airports. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I tried two of the hotel restaurants. The food and the service were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay there again.
