“Small comfort in the heart of Tokyo”

The rooms are small unless you stay in a Deluxe Double/Twin and when I mean small I mean no bigger than my dorm in college....but don't let that be a negative thing. For one it's across from the Akasaka subway...very convienent. The area is pretty neat with alot of bars and dining options...the TBS tower/square has little shops so you'll have plenty to do. If you plan on being in your room the whole time then why come to Tokyo....you can walk to the Okura or Roppongi...overall I thought it was great and wwill be back in March with my family...

“Closest to Akasaka Tokyo Metro Station; VERY SMALL ROOM but comfortable and with great service!”

I highly recommend this hotel and I would gladly stay here again. This place is very close to Roppongi, Ginza, and Tokyo Stations. If you have a friend staying at the Hardy Barracks this hotel is one Tokyo Metro Subway station away. This was a very cute boutique hotel that I stayed in for 2 nights. The service was excellent. I stayed in the standard double room (which means a double-sized bed which is "full" size in the US) The room was very small which is typical for a Japanese hotel. The room is ideal for single persons or for a couple who is traveling VERY light. There was free internet LAN connection. There is a Family Mart and 7-11 convenience stores in the immediate area (for awesome Japanese food!) as well as an HSBC bank branch for an ATM. There is also a shopping complex with a variety of stores down the street. Exit 7 of the Akasaka station is right across the small street and Exit 6 is a short walk down the street from the hotel. These exits are closed from 2200-0600 so if you arrive between those hours you have to exit from Exit 4 which is further down the street. As with any other part of Tokyo be prepared for a lot of walking and climbing up and down flights of stairs so travel light!

What to pack
if you are going to trek to this hotel using the train and subways it is ideal to use a backpack and have one luggage with 4 wheels (trust me on this). I used a carry-on sized luggage but you can use a medium-sized luggage if you have the muscle to carry it up and down flights of stairs.

“A tight fit! (but great value)”

The room was about 3m x 2.5m, so there was barely enough room for my wife and me, plus our luggage and souvenirs at the end of a 3 week Japan trip. That aside, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and service attentive - we were very impressed the daily maid service was able to clean around our gear! Excellent location is within easy walking distance to restaurants, bars and the metro. Having stayed at a number of hotels in Japan, Chisun is the best of the business hotel chains and we would gladly stay there again.

“Small room but great for the price”

Former business hotel convertedinto boutique looking. Small room but that is common in all affordable Tokyo Hotels. Very clean, right next to Akasaka station, very near Roppongi.

“Great Hotel in Akasaka”

This is clean, new small hotel in the heart of Akasaka. They are just a half-block from one of the subway exits. The rooms are ever so slightly larger than the normal Tokyo-sized rooms. Recommended for those doing business in the Akasaka area.

“I am not that short”

Don't get me wrong, I did like this hotel. The rooms were small (think 1 double bed, 1 desk, 1 chair, and 1 closet that is approximately 6 inches deep) and clean. I loved having an electric teapot, the free amenities were plentiful (toothbrushes, razor, sponges, cotton swabs, hairbrush) and the soap/shampoo/conditioner containers were in a handy-dandy basket so that they could be moved around (like I said, small place). The window looked out onto a building across the way but I didn't get the room for the view. What I did not enjoy was sleeping there. The comforter was too short. I'm 5'8" - that's not that tall. The comforter fit from my feet to about the tops of my shoulders. The pillows were uncomfortable - one was nearly completely flat and the other, though taller and more solid, had an underside filled with little plastic tubes (yes, I did run into that kind of pillow in a different hotel but still not so fun). I booked this room specifically because there were several reviews on the web that led me to believe that it would be marvelous and joyous to sleep here - in this I am disappointed. In every other particular, I was satisfied with this hotel.

“Great Central Tokyo Hotel!”

This was my first time in Tokyo and I will absolutely stay at this hotel again! The hotel is right next to the Akasaka Metro Station with entrances to the Metro station next to the hotel or accross the street. The Akasaka station is on the Chiyoda line which is very useful and has good connecting lines at about two stations away. The rooms are VERY small (reason why I gave it a score of 3), but everyone warned me that Tokyo was like this, so I was prepared. In fact, I did not mind that much that the room was this small as it was very confortable! Staff at the hotel was incredibly nice and knowleadgeable... They helped us with any questions we had. The area is a financial part of the city, so it tends to be on the expensive side for food, but dont let this scare you away as it has many options and nice little streets where you can walk around and find a great restaurant to eat at. Basically I really recommend it and I can guarantee you that I will be staying here next time I'm in Tokyo!

Area recommendations
Definitely go to Shinjuku for the famous crossing and nice streets where you can walk... This reminded me to Times Square in NYC... Also go to Ginza and Harajuku for GREAT shopping and some sightseeing... If you like temples and more traditional sights, definitely go to the Asakusa area for all the Tokyo temples...

“I will stay again”

Hotel situated in Akasaka business district, very close to the exit 6 of the Akasaka station on Tokyo metro green line (Chiyoda Line). Excellent neighborhood with a lot of places to eat. Hotel room is small by American standards but very clean. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They all speak English. Bathroom space is adequate. Easy access to all the Tokyo attractions using the metro.

Area recommendations
Roppongi Hills is one metro station away from the hotel. Recommended to enjoy a night view of Tokyo.

“Great hotel with small rooms”

This hotel was super close to the metro which was nice especially since we had luggage with us. The hotel staff were extremely hospitable and even printed us a map to get to Haneda Airport when we checked out. Our room was small but expected in Tokyo. The room was super clean and the toiletries that were kept in bulk size smelled great. Their conditioner was awesome! The toilet was confusing as it had so many options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. If you want a lot of space in your room then I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

“Chisus Grand Akasaka experiance”

Great hotel with polite and decent personel. Rooms are not too big, but new and clean. Internetcables are included and that is a big plus. Toilet is good, shower and bath are good, beds are big enough for tourists.
