Perfect place to stay

Pros: Their kitchen - it's complete and you can cook anytime without any hassle.
Cons: The hotel will need a good level of maintenance to keep their standard. Some paintings are chipped off, particularly in area of lavatory and toilet.
Location: It's a 5 min walk to the nearest train station. 15 in walk to Ueno town centre. You can pass by the Ueno park, where there are zoo, temples, museums.
It's a 5 min walk to the nearest subway station (Nezu station). Tried to use Google to get the cheapest fare compared to taking the nearest JR train station (which is Ueno station) - very effective and accurate. The hotel is clean and has enough cooking facilities (has 5 cooking ranges, 3 microwave units, 2 bread toasters, 2 rice cookers, kettles, coffee maker, BBQ grills, 2 big fridges, and everything else you need in cooking. Daily housekeeping is a plus factor. They provide bath towels, hand towels, toothbrush and paste, hair dryer, cotton buds and cotton pad for makeup removal. Free use of washing machine and dryer. You can get a laundry powder at the reception for JPY200. Rental bike to move around is also available. Great lounge area to relax and socialize. The only setback is that there is no elevator. Toilets and bathrooms are enough, no queuing. They have a café, which is also handy. Nearby stores and supermarket are available. A 24H Yoshinoya is around the corner.

Hidden in the Tokyo concrete jungle

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Hotel Graphy Nezu was at first difficult to find - located beyond Ueno park and hidden in a residential area, it is a 10 minute walk from Ueno station. Within walking distance from Akihabara and various major train stations, it was a great starting point for activities with plenty of eateries and shopping stores within close reach. The room and facilities were clean and well kept and the common lounge areas were immensely enjoyed. A few drawbacks included the lack of an elevator to service the flour levels and wifi that didn't reach all rooms - but none the less a pleasant and recommended stay.

i am surprised that they offer free laundry service, also there is a beauty room setup for ladies to enjoy their facial, blowdryers ready, as well as a massage chair.

clean rooms and near Ueno train station

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Location, rooms, facilities (communal kitchen, laundry room, beauty room and mini gym), service
Cons: All rooms must have its own toilet and bath, not just some.
Location: Ueno Zoo, Ueno Park, Mall, Train station, near Tokyo (just one station away), Ameyoko, downtown Ueno
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The staff were accommodating and speaks fairly good english. We got a small double room with a comfort room that makes it more convenient to us (some rooms don't have comfort rooms---you have to go to a common toilet and bath in the hallway). The hotel is in a residential area that makes you walk 10-15 minutes from the nearest train station (Ueno). It is also near Ueno zoo and Ueno park. We had a great time in this hotel, will definitely check in here again in our nexy trip to Japan.

Pros: Cleanliness,location,price.
Location: Close to Nezu underground/subway and Ueno (10 min short walk through the park) stations. There is a zoo you can visit nearby.
Close to Nezu subway/underground, walking distance to Uno station, quiet residential area with plenty of food shops and local convenience stores. Hotel has a fully equipped kitchen, room was clean and comfy, fridge and TV were in the room.Nice lounge area,no problems communicating in English with staff. Would stay again and definitely recommend as it is v.good value compared to other hotels in the Ueno area.

Well located hotel with nice kitchen

Posted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: I liked it. It was just right.
Cons: Get an elevator for the love of pete. We were on the 4th floor and had to carry our luggage up all the way. Good exercise, yes, but really annoying.
Location: There's a konbini near by were you can get the essentials as well as a huge supermarket for food. There is also a zoo nearby!
The hotel is well located near Nezu station on the Midosuji line in the middle of a nice, extremely quiet residential area. Hotel is impeccably clean and room is a nice size for Japan. The beauty room was a nice touch especially because it had a massage chair! The kitchen was awesome and it was really nice to get to cook our own dinner on NYE. Overall I like the hotel and would stay again.
