For that price, it's pretty good. The subway station is right behind the hotel and there is mcdonalds around there as we'll. you can also walk to asakusa, it takes maybe just 15 to 20 minute by foot.

Great location to public transportPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Love the location.
Had a good stay at this hotel. Located on a quite side of the city. Room was clean. Good access to public transport (two stations serve the area), both within a few minute walk from the hotel. Room, however, was so small we had to put our luggage out on the balcony to have some space in the room. But the balcony was a nice touch. Tiny toilet. Will stay at this hotel again. :)

Great place near trainPosted Jun 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Check in was handled very quickly from a really nice man who may even own the hotel as he was there quite a bit. Room was not nearly as small as I am used to for Japan. Our room had two twin size beds that were WESTERN COMFORTABLE and it even had a convertible sofa to make a third bed if need be. Great stay and I would do it again.

Decent hotel, averagePosted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Close to subway stations, good location for sightseeing, decent value for money
Cons: Internet access, room cleanliness
Location: Near enough to walk to Asakusa and Oshiage for sightseeing, good access to public transport for other areas
The hotel is in a good area close to subway lines for travelling around Tokyo. The room was average, what I'm used to/expect for the price. Some things seemed kind of dated. Under the bed looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. I might have preferred to have had more than two coathangers hanging in the room since I was staying there for 2-3 weeks really. The site I booked through had said there was wired internet access in rooms. My room didn't have this and I ended up overpaying for an unreliable less-than-average-speed wifi service, which wasn't great. I had also read that the hotel had English-speaking staff but it seemed like nobody spoke much English at all (which isn't a problem really but sometimes I'd have liked to ask about things outside of my capability in Japanese). Also the walls must be really thin because I could hear every little noise being made by the occupants of the next room, which got kind of uncomfortable at times.

Great location, small but cozy rooms.Posted Jun 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a great staying at Hotel Kuramae. The distance to the subway Kuramae station "Asakusa Line" was literally a 2min walk. Rooms were small but cozy and sufficient enough for a short vacation for 2.

However the hotel is in a good location, it is 30 years overdue for refurbishment. The coridors, carpets and fabrics smell of cigarettes, the furniture it old and tired. Staff does not speak english.

Older Japanese buisness hotel.Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: The staff is very kind and bends over backwards to help their guests.
Cons: New carpet, bedding, drapery.
Location: At the edge of town. A typical Tokyo urban area.
This is a very old business hotel that offers good prices. In this case, you get what you pay for. Better than a capsule...

great locationPosted Apr 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Hotel attendant was very accommodating even though, he is not fluent in English, he still tries his best to answer our inquiries. Also, he remembers our room number. The hotel location is great since it's just a few minutes away from Asakusa. You can either walk or take the subway. The neighborhood is quiet at night. The room was small but it was very well kept. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Kuramae.
