“Nice, but a bit far from the metro station”
The place was very clean. The hotel staff was helpful, but the hotel didn't have any maps of the city available, which made it difficult to get around. It was a bit far from the nearest metro station, so be aware of that.
“Nice surroundings”
Just a five minute walk to the subway station. Nice surroundings and quiet neighborhood. Not many things to do around but overall a good option for the money.
“Nowhere close to GINZA”
It is a nice property& nice staff. Limited english & one expensive restaurant. It is nowhere near Ginza - that costs 1750 Y every time, It is next to a mall but once that closes not much around. Rooms are nice but old. You have to specify NON SMOKING & though booking from the US I take this for granted- I had to stay in a smoking room because Non smoking was not available the first night. The Mgr was nice though & showed me a couple of 'smoking' rooms for me to choose. I think one can get better value for money in Tokyo
“Great view over Hamida River”
Hotel New Hankyu is situated 10 mins from Tsujiki Fish market and 5 mins from the nearest metro station where all the sights are between a 5 and 20 minute metro ride away. Easy to get to from Narita Airport - you take the Express train to Tokyo Station and then its a 10 minute taxi ride from there. All rooms are between the 34 + 36 floors so the views are excellent, however the rooms themselves are a little outdated and could do with some new carpet, but were spotlessly clean! The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke very good english. If you don't mind the thinning carpet then it is very good value for Tokyo, I would stay there again.

Area:
Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
