“Good Quality Hotel and Convienient to Ikebukuro Station”

The room was very clean, and although a bit small by US standards, in line with our expectations. Wall sockets for laptops, recharging cellphones, etc were a bit scarce...but I found a powerstrip hidden under the desk. The room also came with free internet. The Hotel Strix is located about 3-4 block from the Ikebukero station, so it was very convienient for the Tokyo area day trips we made. However, the station is very large with multiple exits, so you'll need to pay close attention to the station signage to find the West exit. Best to have an area map with you as you navigate the 3-4 block to the Hotel as it is tucked behind a few other buildings. We would definatety stay there again.

“Not so great hotel”

Hotel was clean, rooms surprisingly roomy for Japan, but walls were very thin and hallways were very noisy. The vending machine located in hallway, just outside my room, seemed to be a main gathering place at all hours of the night, as was the all night restaurant/bar across the street. Was awoken at least once, usually several times, every night of my stay. Hotel was very basic with very few amenities and breakfast provided was mostly inedible. Overall: hotel was OK but would not recommend it to anyone.
