“Cozy and Great Location”

My daughter and I stayed here on New Year's Eve 2008 for just one night. We got a corner room (because we booked through Expedia?) with two double beds. Looking on the floor chart posted on the door, we could see that the room was just a bit larger than the standard rooms. Includes a multimedia TV that doubles as your computer screen--free internet access from the room. This was great for checking emails. Price includes nice breakfast in the Excelsior Coffee shop next door. 1 minute walk to Akasakamitsuke subway station where Ginza line and Marunouchi lines stop. Just a few minutes to Shibuya, Tokyo Station, or Shinjuku.

“Great room”

The hotel is in an excellent central location, with a Tokyo Metro stop only 3 minutes' walk away. The rooms are very small, but you will only be using the room for sleep anyway. It comes with a TV/computer and internet access, but no other real amenities. There is a free breakfast every morning in the cafe. Most of the staff speak no English, so have your phrasebook ready.

“The Hotel Sunroute Akasaka is really good.”

We really liked the Hotel Sunroute Akasaka. The hotel's location is perfect. Most requested subway station Akasaka-mitsuke is in three minutes walk from the hotel. Maintenance of the hotel was efficient, unobtrusive and highly qualified. Unfortunately, our computer could not connected to the hotel’s internet, but in the room was the hotel’s computer and we were able partially to solve our problems with it. We recommend that all travelers to stay in the Hotel Sunroute Akasaka.

This Hotel was a complete suprise for us !!. The location is great. Close to the subway and with all the places you need around. The room is litlle but nice, modern, complete, well decorated and very comfortable. The service is excellent. The breakfast is really good. We like very much the TV/ computer with internet device in the room cause our notebook had been damaged days before and we hat to make other flights and hotel confirmations for the rest of our trip. The best is that it was included. Good price and value balance. I recomend it.

“Clean, safe, can't go wrong.”

Great little hotel in the middle of Akasaka, really really close to subway. Rooms are very clean, come with a computer in each room and free internet. Hotel staff speaks good English. You get a continental plus type breakfast from the starbucks like cafe next door, normally $6. Everything is very clean, very safe, as is to be expected from Japan. Only gripe is the size of the room-just enough room for the queen bed, a desk and me, but that's how every hotel is. Highly recommended.

“Extremely Satisfied”

This hotel was very satisfying to me. The staff could speak enough English to help me when I needed it, and were very polite and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent for those looking to see the nightlife of Japan, being only four stops on Japan's efficient train system from Shibuya. The price was great for the services provided (free continental breakfast each day, high-speed internet access from your room, comfortable queen-sized bed). The rooms are a bit on the small side, and sound seems to carry through the doors easily, so do be prepared to hear people talking in the hallways, or opening the door to their room. If you can deal with minor noises and are looking to see the Japanese nightlife or shopping, this is definately a great hotel to choose.

“Good base for Tokyo exploration”

The room is small, the bathroom is tiny, but if you are in Tokyo as a tourist this should not bother you much as you won't spend much time in the room anyway. The big plus is a TV monitor that doubles as a computer. I had to spend ~45min to configure mine with English (OS in Japanese), but after that it has been very useful. The hotel location is very good - there are a couple of mini markets, quite a few restaurants, and even McDonalds and Subway right outside the hotel; no more than 2-3 minutes walk. The staff speak very basic English.

“Excellent Choice in Central Tokyo”

There must be nobody who can not be satisfied with this hotel at that price. Calm, clean and comfortable room, nice people, internet, and meal. The only demarit is the size of room, but it's not big deal if you stay there for just a few days of business trip.

“Great Location”

I stayed in this hotel since I had reservations at a few restaurants in Tokyo over the Memorial Day weekend. What a great hub for recharging! The location was perfect. Subways were a few minutes from the hotel. The room was typically small for a Japanese hotel, but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Free breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff was pleasant, but won't let anyone other than who is on the room listing in the room (no guests allowed in rooms). I opted not to spend Y1000 to buy the TV card, and there was no wifi, only cable. I enjoyed mostly the neighborhood, restaurants, bars, karaoke bars, and small shops that littered the streets outside the hotel. It was a nice, upscale, clean neighborhood.
