“First class hotel with convenient transportation”
My sister and I stayed here for 10 days while we took care of family business. Got upgraded to a lovely junior suite with a wonderful view! Because of the size of the room, we were able to have some business meetings in our room. The access to public transportation was also a plus...several subway access within minutes from the hotel. It was a little warmer than usual due to the mandatory cutbacks in energy consumption....this is totally understandable given the recent disasters in Japan. Overall, an extremely nice stay. I would definitely return to this hotel when I'm in Tokyo again.
“An Imperial Experience”
The hotel was very accommodating, customer focused and even upgraded our reservation to a fabulous room that was totally un-expected. We enjoyed our two stays at the Imperial Hotel and most certainly will recommend it to our friends. Location was wonderful, away from the usual excitement in japan yet close enough to be an easy walk. Many options for shopping and restaurants and a lovely park across the street. We walked everywhere, even to the Tokyo train station.
“Top Notch”
Always stay at the Imperial, the service cannot be beat.
“Great hotel in a fantastic city”
Imperial Hotel is great! Very conveniently located. I had a very large and comfortable room. I recommend it.
“Best and Friendly Service”
The service was the best. The staff was extremely helpful and all requests were promptly met. I had left behind a valuable item and expected it to be lost but called the hotel anyway. The assistant night duty manager personally retrieved my item and the assistant housekeeper sent it back to me. This is personal service of the best kind!
“Can't wait to go back”
Service and location are the key to choosing The Imperial. Both are superb and very hard to beat. However the room was small, the range of tv programmes (not the pay tv) was very limited for non-Japanese programmes (and with jetlag it would have been nice to be able to watch non Japanese channels), and the restaurants are very expensive. The last part is less important as the area around the Imperial is full of excellent choice at 20% of the price.
“Top of the Line”
Imperial Hotel is located in a great location, subway stop right at the front door, limousine bus service from the airport stops at the hotel, service was A+, concierge desk was very helpful. Also there is a Japan Tourism office within the hotel which makes traveling to other areas of Japan easy to plan. Our room was very comfortable with the best laid-out bathroom I have encountered in any hotel. Shops and restaurants are easy to walk to and the beautiful Imperial Gardens are just across the street.
“Fantastic service.”
The good: - Some of the best service I have received anywhere in the world. - The hotel is home to several excelent restaurants. - One of the best locations in Tokyo. 30m from subway. 5 blocks from Tokyo Station. 5 minutes to the Imperial Palace. The bad: - Check-in is at 14:00hrs. You need to negotiate to get a room earlier. - Room service is ridiculously expensive. Expect to pay through the nose. - The rooms do not feel brand new. Overall: A great experience. Highly recommended.
“One of the best hotels in the world”
The staff through the entire hotel are courteous without being overbearing. The guests' requests are taken care of immediately and the level of comfort is extremely high.
“Always returning”
The charm of this hotel is undeniable, very old fashioned. The rooms are great although they lack of nice beauty products, usual for this range of classy hotel. Ginza on one side, Hibiya Park on the other, the location is quite central. The range of restaurants in the hotel is very convenient when you are too lazy to go out.

Ginza, Tokyo, Japan: High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
