“Good place to get married”
The event rooms are awesome, and I didn't even get to try the many restaurants in the hotel but they all looked delicious. The convenience store downstairs was very good, and the gift shoppe had lots of wedding essentials like the special envelopes you give for monetary gifts to the bride and groom.
“Keio Plaza: Sept 2011”
Very large hotel in business district of shinjuku. Most of the clients appeared to be business related, but there were a few leisure travellers like us. Hotel staff was very prompt, friendly and their english was understandable. Location is about a 10min walk from the shinjuku train station which is also accessible via underground route. Area is quiet in the evenings, with steady traffic throughout most of the day. Could not hear street traffic from our room on the 17th floor.
“They even upgrade!!”
Great location, Shinjuku Station is the main hub for all of Tokyo. It is walking distance. Shinjuku is a great part of Tokyo to stay in. It has all the comforts one needs. The service at Keio Plaza is top notch. They upgraded my room when they found out my reservation was wrong. This is where I will always stay in Tokyo.
“Definitely going back . . .”
I've travels several times to Japan and always try to get into the Keio. This trip I had to extend my trip due to a typhoon and the graciously made arrangements for me to stay even though the property was full.
“Comfortable with adequate space”
Our "Superior" room was somewhat dated overlooking an empty swimming pool and into adjacent buildings. We requested an upgrade to "deluxe" for an additional amount and found the new room to be a significant improvement with a much nicer view on a higher floor. The hotel is several blocks from Shinjuku station and there are many restaurants and outlets located nearby. There is an underground walkway to the train station in case of rain.
“Great place, reasonable”
Excellent derive, great value.
“Good location”
When going from the hotel to the Shinjuku Station, as you will inevitably have to, in order to get around town, rather than traversing the streets, use the underground street that's on the north side of the hotel. As far as how to find the train you need; just ask someone who works there. It's an unbelievable maze of tunnels, with so many people it looks like an anthill. I found out that it's the busiest train station in the world. 3.6 million people pass through the station daily.
“Wonderful”
Hotel was exceptional... service good.. only downside was very expensive restaurants, but this is an expensive neighborhood... coffee and cake for five came to $125.00
“Excellent value for location ,Great service !”
I,ve been going to japan for both business and pleasure since 1987 and I believe that this hotel has the best value when you consider the conveinient location .Service is great . I guess my only complaint is the room I stayed in was a little on the small side but again the value versus size I considered when I originally reserved the room . Also , the room s are very quiet iwhich is a big plus when your time warped !
“For the modern American”
This hotel is great for the English-speaking traveler who doesn't know much Japanese and wants modern conveniences. This is the only hotel during my 4 city stay that had free wi-fi in the room and a multitude of English tv channels. Of course, most of the time you won't be in the room, but if you are researching and planning your sight-seeing those things are nice. The the room was not roomy but just big enough to drop off your belongings and still have a little space to walk around. The beds and bathroom were comfy and modern. Of course, the electronic toilet was provided. Staff were courteous and did their best to speak to you in English. The location is approx. 5-10 min. Walk to the nearest train station, and there were about a dozen restaurants (both American and Japanese) within close walking distance. A big plus was a nearby post office/bank that took U.S. ATM cards and exchanged currency at a fair rate. Unfortunately, we found those 2 conveniences difficult to find in most of our travels.
