“good for small budget.”

Perfect location of right cross street to the train station. But the room is way too small

Area recommendations
central Tokyo like Ginza is a must go. If you can go Mt Fuji will be nice.

“Small, but worth the price”

Lets get this out of the way, the room is very small! There wasn't much room at all. You basically walk in, and theres a bathroom and beds and not much else. So when I give it 5 stars I am not ranking it on the same scale as nice hotels, but I am ranking it for what it was, a low priced place to sleep after a day in tokyo. The staff was very friendly. and the room was clean. The hotel was very easy to find, just a 1 minute walk from the JR Ryogoku station. The location was amazingly convenient! I was able to walk to Sky Tree, and to get to every major district in Tokyo. Speaking of Sky Tree, I had a perfect view of it from my window! I did not expect a room that was so cheap to have a view of Japan's newest and biggest landmark, so I was very pleasantly surprised. Some people complained about the train noise, but with my window closed and on the 9th floor I did not hear much noise. Basically, book the room expecting a tiny place to sleep, and you will be satisfied with everything about it.

Area recommendations
I recommend the walk to Sky Tree. Just look up and keep walking and you will get there. I also recommend the Sumo stadium and Edo museum which are right next to the hotel. You are also 2 stops away from Akihabara and from there you can get anywhere in Tokyo.

“Extremely pleasant stay”

An extremely pleaseant surprise, both the room as well as the hotel in general was extremely well maintained and appeared liked everything was brand new or at least renovated just weeks ago. Space in the room was quite limited, would not recommend it to anyone above 6'3 or 280 lbs.

The staff at Pearl Ryogoku was extremely helpful especially considering the fact that I don't speak much Japanese.

Area:

Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan: Today visited for its Sensoji Temple, Five Storied Pagoda, and the Nakamise traditional shopping arcade, this festive neighborhood once was the city’s hot spot for drinking and dancing. Though it never experienced the development that Ginza and others have, it holds its own with an artistic community and some of the city’s top attractions.
