“Beautiful location, looking out on gardens”
Very comfortable during the typhoon! Make sure to check out the Happo-en garden situated next door!
“Great service & convenient location”
We picked this hotel because it was one of the few that could accomodate 4 people, most hotels accomodate 2. The front desk and concierge spoke English, which was extremely helpful. The concierge helped us get around Tokyo by providing multiple maps and helpful hints. The hotel was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job of tidying our room daily. The hotel provides a shuttle to 2 train stations, which saved us from taking a cab to the station. We would definitely return to this hotel!
“Worked great with kids”
We stayed here for with our 3 kids (ages 2,6,8). The room was much larger than at other hotels we've stayed in in Tokyo and they were able to add 2 extra beds to the room without it being ridiculously overcrowded. The location was great for us, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the free shuttle to the JR station very helpful. We'd definitely do it again.
“You could do better”
the rooms definitely need refurbishing. They only put pictures of their nice rooms online for a reason. The beds were comfortable, but the rest of the furniture and the bathroom were outdated. It is very misleading. Also, they charge 1600 yen a day per person to use the swimming pool if your room does not come with complimentary pool usage. Other than that, it's a friendly place for foreigners and they have television in english unlike some other hotels I have visited in japan. The room was for 4 people and it was very big for japan. And the shuttle to meguro station is very convenient, but stay here only if you can afford a suite.
“lovely hotel”
the staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was lovely to stay in, the children enjoyed the swimming pool and the culture of japan. the bus service to the airport was great, and the hotel bus service to the local station was fantastic. thanks for a great stay.
“Classic hotel elegance and service”
Excellent hotel with great service, beautiful garden, and quiet calm yet close to a city center. Happy stay. Look forward to going back.
“Not cheap, but great service and very convenient!”
Best hotel in the Meguro area. Amazingly convenient with the frequent shuttle bus to the local station. Wouldn't recommend any of the restaurants, though. Room was comfortable and clean, although the decor is a bit dated, like most Sheraton properties. Staff were extremely polite and helpful when it comes to getting around. Internet connection was very fast, but shame there's no Wi-Fi - it's wired only, so iPad or iPhone users are out of luck.
“Great Hotel in Tokyo”
When traveling to Japan with your family, one of the toughest things to do is find a nice hotel that will accommodate more than just two people. I was traveling with my entire family, wife and two kids (17 & 15). The Sheraton Miyako was one of the few hotels that could accommodate a family of four. Having traveled to Japan before, I was not sure what to expect as room sizes are much smaller than in the US. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were actually 4 beds made up in our room. We had the two twin beds, a convertable sofa bed that folded out to a twin and a bed they had brought in for our other kid. It worked out perfectly as far as sleeping arrangements - no one had to sleep on the floor. The staff was excellent, the facilities at the hotel were great and the subway station was a short walk from the hotel - about 2 blocks. They also had a free shuttle to Shinagawa station every hour. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family staying in Japan.
“Best beds and pillow ever !!! Wonderful nights, with classical music playing !!!”
We had a excellent stay at Sheraton Miyako with our two kids sharing beds. The beds were wonderful (the best mattresses and pillows ever; brand new), silent and spacious room, with a beautiful garden view. Free internet in the room, and a wonderful options of music offered by the bed. We slept with classical music every night. Great nights sleeping. The hotel has some years old, but is perfect. Excellent attention from employees. The only thing is that the hotel is a little bit far away from downtown, but the underground is close (one block away).
“will not go again”
inconvenient location. small rooms. bad choice of restaurants
