“Thank you Smile Hotel!”

Traditional neighbourhood, nice and friendly hotel. My room was very small, but also very nice and clean. And then again, I wasn't looking for anything fancy or expensive, but a centric, nice and inexpensive hotel, which is exactly what I got. If you want to have a real, traditional japanese experience then please stay at this hotel located in a very representative neighbourhood of the real japanese everyday lifestyle.

“good place for the right price.”

This is a typical Japanese hotel meaning, small room and small bed. This is typical of Japan though unless you're willing to shell out the big bucks. If you're just coming to visit and want a safe place to sleep this place is great. The only down sides to this hotel is that it's a little walk from the station and they use actual keys instead of cards to access the room.

“Good Business Hotel”

Small but good business hotel 10 min walk from Asakusa station, temple and shopping district. Staff is friendly and internet is free.

“Very quiet neighborhood”

This hotel is a bit out of the way from the subway and transportation stations. The neighborhood is very quiet and allowed a good nights sleep. There is a convienence store on the corner which comes in handy for the late night snacking. The hotel staff were very helpful and I did not have a problem with the language barrier. As a cyclist I was very happy that I could rent a bike for the time that I was there.

“Not Impressed”

Had to fight to get a non-smoking room which I had reserved weeks prior, the location was inconvenient (a far walk from the Metro), the hotel's breakfast was expensive and just rice and miso, the alarm clock was all in Japanese and useless unless you spoke Japanese, the room smelled... The only nice thing was the bidet. Push a button to warm up the water, wait for the light, and then control the water pressure... ahhhh!

“OK Stay, quite good location, quite good price”

The stay was fine. Absolutely no problems, nothing bad but nothing great either. It's just "Fine". I'd rate it 3.5 if I could.

“Great budget accommodation in Asakusa”

The smile hotel was a great place for a stay in Tokyo. The staff was friendly and spoke English very well. The hotel is located conveniently near Asakusa station and sensing temple with the skytree in easy walking distance. The hotel had a general smell of smoke and is a bit dated, but for the price it was quite nice.
