This is a great choice for a stay in Tokyo if you want somewhere close to Tokyo station on arrival to Tokyo. A short bus ride and walk and we arrived safely. It is easy to walk past if you do not go up the stairs to the reception desk.

Older building, so its concrete walls. No hearing the neighbors in the building. Fast easy check in and out. Close to the bus depot and 15 minute walk to the train. Laundry facilities on the first floor. Convenience stores close. Walking distance to skytree, Senso-ji shrine, Sumida park, and best of all Tokyo Rickshaw. My only complaint, i wish i stayed longer. I will be back.

The hotel was in an easy and practical area to reach by foot via the Iriya station, there're convenience store neaby and isn't far from Sensō-ji, a lot of stores and places to eat. It was also rather nicely quiet even during the weekend. The room itself was surprisingly large for a solo traveler despite the price and for the most part, it was comfortable thanks to AC, easy internet access, a decent desk and there were no bad odors in the room either. The bed however and pillow were absolutely atrocious however. It was very uncomfortable and springs could be felt through the mattress. Check-in itself was very quick and easy and the staff was nice and friendly. While reception is on the second floor as many reviews state, the walk up there is actually very short and easy.

The location is great ,you have a bus outside the hotel to ueno.you are between the Hibya line and Asakusa...also direct train from Haneda. Location is key,hotel is basic but suits it's purpose. I should point out that I am lone traveler.

Stay away!
Cons far outweigh the pro’s Hotel strictly enforces 3pm ck in even though rooms are vacant. Before even using my bed, I found hairs on sheets and comforter, NOT MINE ! ( some were of pubic variety) Called housekeeping, they replaced promptly,BUT “Mattress “ below sheets was heavily soiled with stains. Quite gross. I made up my mind that I was not going to sleep on that. Tried calling hotels.com who called hotel directly to arrange a refund/cancellation but no one returned their call. Thus I waited all night for a call that never came. Tried sleeping on bed, but the thought of what was under the sheets did not promote a good nights sleep, plus the bed was super hard. After a restless night, I decided to ck out @ 0400. To my surprise, there is no one manning the front desk. There is a number to call, which I tried, but no one answered, quite useless to leave an after hours number, and not answer it. FYI, front desk is manned after 0800. I left at 0500, and put my keys in drop box. The hotel is quite far from mrt and eateries. There are a couple of Lawasons, but that’s it. Don’t let the name fool you, it is quite far from Asakusa station. We ended up taking a taxi to/from hotel about Y820 each way. Highly recommend you spend extra $ on a better hotel near MRT, cause $ saved will only be spent on taxi fare. Besides, this is a very very budget hotel and it truly is. Pro’s Room is bigger than other rooms in Japan. Private bathroom, but has mold on walls.

helpful staff members. they dont understand much english but they try their best to help. its a budget hotel, dont expect a lot. the wifi barely worked but i was drunk a lot anyways.

Second time using,will continue to use in future. Very good location,plenty of places to eat. On main line for tourist attractions,close enough to main JR station. All the info for ude of hotel is in english taped to lift.

So fine, the room didn't cost an arm and a leg and we were certainly not expecting 5-star luxury. However, we also weren't expecting dust bunnies everywhere and worse, the room smelling of piss. We were just thankful we'd only booked it for a night.

Budget Hotel but 15 minutes to trains
Late night, I arrived the hotel, the reception(at level 2) quickly responded in English. Things move smoothly as I have paid booking before arrival. There are maps and brochures in English and other language on Tokyo at the counter. Got the hotel key and brief notes about hotel, then drag the luggage into the small lift. Non-smoking room as requested, air-conditioned very comfortable. One clean quilt for double bed. Working TV good for keeping updated if you understand Japanese. Took a while to get microwave working as power not turned on and no manual to explain buttons with only Japanese writing on them. Thankfully the big button smart function automatically choose working time solved everything. Very quite area makes a good night sleep. There are knife and fork available for the asking.

It was an apartment with two rooms. Very spacious and close to the main city attractions. The building is in good conditions even though you can tell that the bathroom is old, but everything works perfect. Small kitchen with dinning room. It is not a place that looks clamorous but fit the need for a traveler, specially for the price.

Bed quality alert!
The staff were amazing and did everything we asked to help make our stay more comfortable, but layers of blankets could not make up for the fact that it was just a box spring we were provided, with no mattress on top. There was also a problem with the heater in our room and limited electrical outlets. The neighbourhood seems to specialize in services for men by night, so no good restaurants nearby and no subway lines within short walks. We had to abandon our 4-day reservation after the first night and find a business hotel with real mattresses.

Very good location to tourist sites,some within walking distance.Plenty of places to eat and drink. Good size room, includes microwave and full size fridge. No phone in my room,not sure if that's a general thing.

Hotel was not bad. But it is about 1.5 Kms away from the nearest subway station. Located in a quiet area. My advice for any tourist is to find a hotel close Ueno station. Otherwise you have to take another subway train to Iriya station. But from Ueno trains are available to everywhere. Reception is closed in the night time.

Great for the money. Warm, friendly staff.
It's what you expect for the money, however as I was travelling I spent little time in the room and most of my time exploring. It's clean, quiet, comes with air con and was more than what I needed for my time there. The staff are warm and friendly, going above and beyond what they needed to to accomodate my stay. I would absolutely stay again.

You get what you pay for.
We stayed for three nights in this hotel, and enjoyed all of them. We didn't expect much in terms of amenities, but the room was clean and the staff were very helpful.
