Good hotel, close to travel connections

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The transport links Cleanliness.
Cons: Space to store clothes English breakfast tea bags and milk
We spent 9 nights at the Fresa Inn in a quad room which comprised 2 small double beds and a bunk bed with our 2 kids. The room was very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean every day with fresh towels and linen. The bathroom included the standard space age Japanese toilet and a good powerful shower. Our only negative about the room was that it was very compact and other than a very small hanging rack there was nowhere to put your clothes and equally no space to store your suitcases. On this basis I would recommend the hotel only if you were staying for a couple of nights or travel lightly. The hotel is located very closely to the Tozai line of the Metro which provides a 15 minute direct trip into the centre of Tokyo. It is also close enough to access the Tokyo Big Site and Disneyland within 20 minutes and the staff were able to provide transport routes to follow. A Macdonalds is located next door and the Italian restaurant on the basement level of the hotel was very nice and very reasonably priced.

Nice small room with everything you needs

Posted Feb 23, 2014
I stayed in Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo-Toyocho with my girlfriend for 8 days. The location of the hotel is great, it's just 2 min walk from the Toyocho metro station which link you to everywhere in Tokyo. A 24-hours operating supermarket Seiyu and many food outlets are within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The size of the room is small, but I believed this is the norm standard size in Japan so no complain here. The bathroom is amazing given its limited size, all the necessities you need for your bath are provided. You can even have an 'onsen' experience in the bathtub inside. The double bed in the room has no problem fitting me and my girlfriend in. Different hardness types of pillow can be requested from the reception to suit your personal needs. The only minor complain about the hotel that is a lack of an international television channel in the room's tv set. All the channels in the room are Japanese speaking channels without english sub-titled. This is not acceptable if the hotel wish to open the door for business to international guests around the world. At the minimum the NHK world news channel should be provided in the room. However free WiFi in the room compensate these negativity. I will recommend this hotel to my friends if they wish to visit Tokyo in the future. It's definitely value for money for its stay, clean, friendly helpful staffs and good location make it to be my choice of stay in Tokyo, Japan.

This hotel was great! The rooms were a little small, but they were very cozy and well kept. The staff was great and its located right next to a train station, a McDonald's, and a couple of other food stores. I would definitely stay there again!

We spent 3 nights there with our kids in Dec'13. Although the room was small but the services and location were great. Family restaurants were inside the buildings, so no need to worry in rainy days. Very convenient and out kids loved it. Thanks.

Although room is small, it is quite clean. The good thing is they provide new set of pyjamas and toiletries for room guests everyday. We are very comfortable staying here and will certainly come back again.

Close to subway

Posted Nov 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was close to the subway so it was an easy place to commute from. Also taxi cabs outside the hotel (was convenient when we wanted to get to the tsukiji market tuna auction at 330am). If you are used to a spacious hotel room you will feel CRAMPED if there are two of you in a small double. My husband and I had to stand sideways if we had to pass each other any where in the room. Comfy clean bed. Friendly staff. Dryers take a while to dry jeans or heavy clothes (1hr). Room was all we needed because we were out sight seeing the entire day. If you are like me and need coffee as soon as you crack your eyes open in the morning, bring instant coffee and use the hot water maker provided (I recall only tea in the room). Other than small room, our stay was pleasant.
