Nice view to the city in Ikebukuro

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Increase counter space in the bathroom. Increase bed size to at least twin size bed.
Location: 24 hr eateries, Large dept stores and all kinds of shops.
Hotel is conveniently located in Ikebukuro. About 8-10 minute walk to JR or subway. It is also very close to shops and eateries, some even open 24 hours a day. The interior decor is a bit dated. The room is quite spacious for 2, but a bit small for a family of 3. There is limited counter space in the bathroom. WIFI is only available in the lobby. Only wired internet in your room, so bring your own wireless router.

We chose this hotel for the location. It is approximately 10 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station. The hotel is convenient to many restaurants and shops. It is connected to the Sunshine City mall. The hotel needs an upgrade. The lobby is dull looking and the interior of the room is out dated. The service was okay. The hotel provides airport limousine bus service at $3,100 yens per person.

Tour group hotel

Posted Apr 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
On the upside, the rooms are sufficiently clean; hotel services are adequate, and the hotel is attached to a big mall with many dining options. On the downside, the hotel feels dated and the rooms are very small. The lobby is often crowded with people and suitcases as the hotel attracts many tour groups. Wi-Fi is very poor even in the lobby.

Pigpen

The staff is lacking in basic service oriented skills, such as smiling and understanding the customers needs. The rooms were as small as a businessman's capsule hotel. The A/C had no temperature control and the windows could not be opened. The maintenance staff would open the room doors to the hallway to air out the vacant rooms. The elevators were too few in number to properly accommodate the number of guests in the hotel This is a hotel in need of a major renovation. No value to my dollar spent.

Great location in Ikebukuro.

Posted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Location, fun section of Ikebukuro, close to transit, lots to do in Sunshine City.
Cons: The staff could be more accommodating. Considering the price and location it's not a big deal.
Location: The sunshine 60 complex is attached to the hotel which is a plus. Club Sega, Tokyu Hands, plenty of great restaurants for all budgets. Family Mart.
The hotel, while not pinnacle of accommodation was still a great value. Within walking distance of great shopping, entertainment and transit. Plenty to do for those traveling with children within the complex itself so you're never bored. Perfect when the days travel is done but not the day. The staff were adequate but not exceptional. The room size typical for the rate and for being in Tokyo.

Nice hotel in ikebukuro ~

Posted Jan 9, 2014
Awesome location, hotel itself is located in a big shopping centre, near Tokyu hands, in less than 5 min walk to main roads of ikebukuro, around 10 min to ikebukuro station, there is limousine bus stop just outside of hotel. There's LAN cable for free access to internet (not that quick). Rooms are small (but like most accommodation in Tokyo). Housekeeping workers do not speak English, which may lead to some miscommunications here and there.

Hotel is outdated

Posted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Post the clear direction to the hotel from Sunshine City mall
Location: Lots of shops and restaurants, close to the metro
The hotel,s furniture is outdated it looks like the Goodwill store furniture . They still use the key to close and lock the door. The hotel need remodeling and updated. The TV is very small
