“Extraordinary Garden Setting”
When we booked The Prince Sekura Tower Tokyo we had no idea that it was in one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan. We were fortunate to arrive when the world famous Cherry Trees (Sekura ) were at peak bloom. It was simply a grand place to strool from morning to evening and the view from the glass-elevator is sublime !The Tokyo location near the Shinagawa Train Station was very handy and the hotel is a short walk from the classic Sengakuji Temple, the burail site of the famous 47 Ronin. We will definitly return to the hotel on Tokyo visits.
“Very Impressed!”
Extremely helpful staff speaking both English and Japanese. Room appointments are top notch. Service and amenities as found in 5 diamond hotels. Close to Shinagawa station.
“Luxushotel”
“Tokyo's Tranquil Oasis”
Conveniently situated less than 5 mins walk from Shinagawa railway station, yet set in a beautiful Japanese garden. Spacious rooms/bathrooms. Peaceful atmosphere to return to at the end of a working day. It will be my hotel of choice for future visits to Tokyo.
“Good value in excellent location”
From previous experience I knew that hotels in the vicinity of Shinagawa station were very convenient for both leisure and business activities in Tokyo. The Prince Sakura Tower has recently been refurbished and the quality of the accomodation is "second to none". The room was spacious (contrary to most Japanese hotels) and the cleanliness was superb. The staff in the hotel were most efficient in everything asked of them. Reaching the Prince Sakura Hotel from Narita is extremely easy, direct by Limousine Bus at 3000 JPY or by Narita Express Rail to Shinagawa station. Bar and restaurant prices in the Prince Sakura Hotel were high which led us to use local restaurants for all meals. The choice was extensive from Japanese to Italian to TGI Fridays. All of these within 5 minutes walk. All-in-all a very good choice of hotel - and made even more attractive by discounted rates through Expedia. An additional recommendation: visit the Epson Aquarium at the local Shinagawa Prince hotel (discounted entry for residents at Prince Hotels). This had the very best dolphin show I've seen anywhere in the world.
“Very Impressed”
The Prince Sakura Tower Hotel in Tokyo is conveniently located close to the Shinagawa station (express trains to Narita airport and access to the Shinkansen train network) The hotel is quiet and comfortable. It is connected to two other sister hotels by a traditional Japanese garden. Combined together the 3 hotels offer lots of amenities -- several restaurants, 2 swimming pools, a spa, a sauna. Rooms are spacious with very large beds. They have high-speed Internet access, a refrigerator with a snack bar, kimono-type robes and a courtesy bag for each person with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath salts, toothbrush... Although modern and comfortable the hotel decoration has some Japanese touch (wallpaper design, color selection) which may appear surprising for travelers used to more international design standards. Overall the hotel is a good option combining a convenient location with good comfort.
“Great for city-hoppers”
Beautiful hotel, great rooms. Restaurants (like all in Japanese hotels) are outrageously expensive, but if you feel adventurous, you can hit any number of local restaurants that are better and cheaper. Close proximity to Shinagawa station and one of the subway stations makes it easy to get around the city or head on to another city. And it isn't in the middle of the crazy downtown area. Forces you to travel around the city and see different parts, instead of just hanging out in one district. Highly recommended
“May 2010 Book here if looking for large room”
Our room was larger than expected, with two single beds, a small coffee table, two small arm chairs, a sofa, and hide-a-bed; and a feeling of spaciousness. The beds turned out to be larger than what we expected, almost but not quite as big as a "double" in American standards. Two could sleep in one single bed, although cozy. Note that the optional "no cleaning service" offered every other day for environmentally friendly guests is a nice option, however, realize that it also means that the beds are not made and the towels are not hung. Not a big deal, we just thought at least the beds would be made up even though the linen wouldn't be changed. We used the voucher for breakfast on the last day of the trip, nice not to have to think about using up yen. There are no ice machines on the guest floors, ice is available only through room service. This hotel is to the right of the Pacific Hotel as you face the Pacific from the train station exit. It's up the driveway on the right side. There are 4 Prince Hotels in the immediate area so be sure to distinguish which Prince Hotel you're at. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again mainly for the size of the room and the convenient location. It's convenient to the JR loop, the shinkansen, and great food at the train station.
“Very Impressed”
Great Hotel, more then we expected, great location, would recommend this Hotel to anyone. When we return to Japan, we will return to the Prince Sakura
“Japanese quality=best quality”
Absolutely perfect! The servise was oustanding, speotless room, there was not a single thing we didn't like.
