The hotel room is rather old and not well-maintained. The bathroom is smelly. It was a regret to stay in this hotel. For similar price one can find much better room and better location near shinjuku. I will definitely not staying in this hotel again.

Was a very nice and quiet neighbourhood, with easy food options around. The hotel itself was very clean and had great facilities inside the room, and felt very secure. Great stay overall.

Checked in and was given room 616. View from room was pleasing. No wifi. Zero. Zip. Nada. Despite a small sign in the room 'free wifi'. Nothing. Phoned reception. Girl came up with modem and tried. Still nothing. Only apologies. Arranged for another room - 216. View was of building and street. Only privacy with blind down. Room was 'clean and functional' For Y31000 per night walk-in rate it would want to be. Bed ok, tv ok. shower ok. Guests will generate rubbish. This hotel chain wants guests to take their rubbish down to garbage area (not nice) and sort out their own rubbish into respective bins. What? Seriously. We had 2 card 'keys', one was lost. Hotel asked for Y2000 as replacement fee. For a small piece of plastic worth a few yen. In view of the first day lack of wifi this fee could have been waived. We stayed for 4 nights. No staff before 7am. Staff inflexible. We will not stay at this chain again.

The room was clean. I was a bit disappointed with the restroom. The pictures make it look like the restroom was clean, but when we arrived there was mold and mildew around the bathtub. The room itself was very small, it only fit 1 big luggage. The bed was comfortable and the check in was easy. The transportation for the metro was nearby. I would definitely come back if they actually maintain the restrooms. The pictures online were a bit decieving with that.

Excellent hotel
Hotel has an excellent location. It is close to great eating places. CocoCurry and McDonald’s are next door. Excellent Sushi restaurants, steak restaurants, Indian restaurants are within 40 meters. Grocery store’s & pharmacy are close by too. Buses and subways are within 10 minutes away. The only drawback is the hotel breakfast. While it is delicious, you have to pick it up cold from the front desk and then you have to add hot water to the soup base and warm up the main dish in the microwave in your room. Our room had a combination washer and dryer. It was very convenient. The staff were all very helpful and professional. We would stay here again.

Old hotel, potentially previously a smoker room
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, we liked the location for train accessibility and the employees were very kind and helpful. We really appreciated having a washer dryer in our room as well. However, the accomodations were obviously old and needed updated. Our hotel room was a nonsmoking queen that was very obviously previously a smoking room. The room smelled like smoke an unclean because of that. There were marks on the walls, scuffs or stains. Nothing so over the top gross but showing the age and how "lived in" the hotel has been. The bed was very firm, can feel the springs. Not particularly comfortable.

I wouldn’t recommend this property for those visiting Tokyo for leisure. The rooms are shabby — ours had stains on the sheets — and housekeeping is minimal. Weird smell in the hallway that was masked only when others on the floor were clearly smoking (despite it being ostensibly smoke free). Location is fine but it’s a bit of a trek to the bustling part of Shinjuku. The staff do their best, but it’s clear this hotel is meant for domestic business travellers and outside that, I’d say avoid.

Amazingly perfect!!
This was perfect…just perfect for me. First time in Japan. Mere feet from a train station. Got there late & hungry and a McDs next door, open 24 hrs. Bed super comfy, 👍 shower was SOO hot 👍. AC was super cold!!! 👍 Lil fridge 👍, dryer wasn’t that good but could have been user issues. Did laundry early enough that had time to hang and dry. Not in the middle of all the noise 👍 Close enough to enjoy night life and walk to my quiet room 👍 My only challenge was I did not know to slide a card in the holder on the entry wall to activate lights 🙄 but once that was explained- it couldn’t have been any better.

We had a very comfortable stay for 10 days at a very reasonable price given the fact that the hotel was conveniently located. Polite staff, clean and generous size room compared to other budget hotels. Oedo subway train was only a 2 minutes walk and connects to major stations. Lots of other modes of transport close by. Overall the place was value for money. The buffet breakfast coupon for 1050 yen offered a variety of continental and Japanese buffet breakfast in the dining room. Maruetsu supermarket is just 2 minutes walk was handy for us to buy readymade meals, variety of drinks and obento that we could heat and eat in the in the room. We will definitely recommend Tokyuu Stay Inn to budget travellers.

We had an amazing experience staying here. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was very clean and we had plenty of room to store our items. Traveling around was easy with a subway line only a three minute walk away. Lots of good dining options in the area with a nice market down the street. Chuo Park was only a two block walk which is a nice spot to relax and take a meal to eat. We loved staying at this hotel and will be back.

Wonderful experience and a great value
Couldn't ask for a better overall experience for me. Room was small, no doubt but efficient and gave me everything I needed (including a washer/dryer, microwave and fridge). The service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing! If you're looking for a place to stay in this neighborhood, then look no further. Grocery store is close train is just up the block.

The room was of the usual size in Japan. The bed and room were comfortable. The view was great. However the bathroom was quite dirty. Lots of grime, random hairs, stains. The room itself was pretty clean however.

The hotel was in a nice quiet neighborhood only a $10 taxi fare from Shinjuku so great if you wanted to take advantage of the nightlife without paying a fortune for a centrally located hotel
