Very clean hotel, close to transportation

This is a very clean hotel, close to transportation, within 10 minutes of Shinjuku (by taxi or the metro). There are many wonderful restaurants in the area. The staff is super friendly and pleasant.

Affordable but nice place to stay in Tokyo

Posted Apr 13, 2014
The price is not too bad.. and the facilities are great.. u have kitchen facilities and even washing machine in the room! the room a bit spacious compared to other typical budget hotels... the receptionist is also good (if you speak Japanese, it much better).. not exactly next to Yotsuya JR station, but it took only 4-5 minutes walking from the station...

Great location

Really can't ask for more in Tokyo. Clean, quite large, everything you need. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. It's about a 3 minute walk to Yotsuya station which connects to three lines (2 subway and 1 JR). I took the Narita Express to Tokyo Station and then the subway (Maranouchi line) to Yotsuya. Breakfast next door is pretty good with about 8 options and a drink bar.

Perfect stay

Posted Jan 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was travelling by myself. This hotel was perfect for it's location and proximity to the train. The rooms are quite big for Tokyo- after this hotel, I moved into an apartment with three friends and the entire apartment was not much bigger than my private room. Breakfast is pretty substantial next door although I only ate it once as there's so much to eat in Tokyo! Staff were helpful. There's a convenience store right next door. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Good if you want to be in Yotsuya

Posted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: Inexpensive, clean and modern, convenient if you need to be in the Yotsuya area of Tokyo
Location: Yotsuya is where Sophia University is; otherwise good train connections to the rest of Tokyo.

reasonably price apartment/hotel in good location

Posted Dec 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
I used to live in Tokyo and was in town for an extended stay vacation, so I had very particular needs in mind when looking for a hotel and Tokyu Stay Yotsuya fit the bill very neatly. It's in a quieter area, but situated centrally near the very convenient Yotsuya station. From there you can take the Chuo Line Rapid to Shinjuku in 5 minutes or east to Tokyo Station in 10 -- so you can basically reach both sides of the city very fast. There is also the Marunouchi (M) and Namboku (N) subway lines which also crisscross the city. Second, it was a good value for the money. For the money you get a bit bigger room than the normal business hotel, internet (wired and wireless). Third but also quite important -- unlike normal hotels, this is more of an extended stay hotel or short-term apartment. You get a small stove, some basic kitchen stuff and your own laundry machine. If you stay long enough, then room service only comes once a week to clean. This hotel is reasonably modern, no-frills but a very good value and works great for longer stays. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but be mindful that for the most part they leave you alone. This hotel was perfect because I needed to stay 2 weeks, it was in a good location for quick travel to either side of the city very quickly, it was reasonably priced, and I don't care much for the extra amenities a much fancier hotel might offer because I don't need them.

excellent place

Pros: cleanliness and convenience close to train station and good location
Cons: no frills. clean up service only once a week so if you are there for less than 1 week, your room will not be made up. towels get changed daily.
Location: very close to central tokyo via train or taxi.
perfect hotel for someone just needing a place to stay that is convenientally located and clean. it is a no frills hotel but very clean.

Excellent value for money

Posted Dec 4, 2011
This hotel is recently built with modern, clean and efficient facilities. It is aimed at budget travelers who want relative comfort and clean, attractive facilities but are willing to sacrifice a bit on space, service and amenities. It has washing machines, and limited kitchen equipment. Desk personnel are intelligent and efficient as well as polite. Towels are replaced but room cleaning services are apparently not provided every day. Close walking distance to the Yotsuya Station both JR and Tokyo Metro. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Breakfast if included is in the Jonathan Restaurant on the first floor; also efficient and clean, aimed at budget conscious travelers.

High quality, modern and inexpensive

Location: Ueno for museums and the park and Shinobazu pond and its promenade. Asakusa for the temple and shopping lane leading up to the temple. Ginza of course.
For the traveler looking to sacrifice luxury in exchange for economy, the Tokyu Stay is the place for you. The Yotsuya Tokyu Stay is a very new modern building, finishes are excellent etc. Desk staff seem to be retired company employees, very polite, mature and capable. Rooms are on the small side but adequate. Be warned there are no bellmen, no English newspapers on offer, and from my experience the cleaning staff only replace towels--they do not make beds. All in all, if one:s expectations are adjusted appropriately, the overall experience is highly satisfactory especially for the money one pays.
