Check-in then go walking!Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Create a reception desk on the first floor.
Location: Location is great. Close to freeway and within walking distance of old town for sight-seeing, shopping, and eating.
Good experience with friendly staff. No elevator and check in is on second floor.

Great base for sightseeing Toledo.Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: Clean, friendly and warm
Cons: No restaurant but a couple within 100 yards.
Location: Perfect to leave your car at the Hotel and catch a bus outside, or walk into town which takes about 15 minutes.
Basic accommodation as the name suggests but the staff were helpful and friendly. As others suggest, it is a useful base for sightseeing in Toledo. Parking is a problem in the Old City but with street parking or secure basement parking and a good bus service into the City the "Hostal Toledo" is a great base. We were there in January and unlike another reviewer we found the Hotel warm .

Hotel service good with secure private parking (charge). Adjacent bus stop ideal for inexpensive return trip in to Toledo old town.

Hostal ToledoPosted Aug 7, 2011 on Hotels.com
Good facilities giving an enjoyable stay. Slight problem getting out of underground garage as communication not too good with language difference. Make sure you know where the "exit" button is before entering the garage!

Great hostal, but not so great locationPosted May 12, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is not close to the city center. It's outside of town. But it's a good value, great staff, very friendly and helpful service, handy bus stop to head into town (be careful of getting on the correct bus and exiting the correct stop on the way back - you exit at the top of the street, near the large tourist center, and cross the street - not all busses go back through Zocodover, despite what the signs say - make sure you ask the bus driver!), and large bathroom (with a bathtub!) attached to my single room. If "downtown" Toledo's booked, this is a great choice. If I had to go again, I'd try to stay closer to Zocodover. A note about Toledo's streets: when wet (as from rain), they can be quite slick. You will want shoes with tread. This is a hilly city.
