Do not stay here

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Jim the manager was nice considering.
Cons: Update the entire hotel by demolishing it and rebuilding. See experience above.
Location: Toledo--food places nearby.
First standard room (double beds) was supposed to be non smoking but smelled of smoke. The bed had hair in it as if the sheets were not changed. Contacted front desk and was moved to another room (double bed)--an "upgrade" per my request. The room had fridge, microwave, and iron with ironing board. Faint smoke smell but the following are the things that were completely UNACCEPTABLE--the carpet had stains as if it hadn't ever been cleaned, the sink had bugs around it that looked like maggots but with lots of legs so I knew they weren't maggots. The bathtub was so old that the enamel was worn away in the back of it where you could see the rust underneath. The bed sheets were so dingy that I decided only to sleep on one side of the bed as the other side's top of the sheet had stains. When I turned on the light next to the bed the bulb blew on my son's side where his bed was. We brought dinner back and I cleaned off the table with a towel and soap and the towel was yellow when I finished cleaning. And lastly, on the second night, there was a chigger (red bug) going down the wall next to my bed. The towel threads were thin and I wasn't comfortable using them. We stayed 2 nights only because there was no other place to stay with vacancies and this was for my son's registration for the University of Toledo. I didn't want him to be completely spooked away from Toledo as we're from Wisconsin. I'm contacting Red Roof to request a full refund.

Friday night stay. Beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy here. Stayed in a 'renovated' room. Barebones hotel but did the job. Wonderful staff!
